A wonderful location and experience, highly recommended. Game drives are fantastic, and the guides very knowledgeable and engaging. Highlight was being able to leave the vehicle on foot and experience a cheetah not more than 10 meters away from us. Brilliant 3 night stay, we leave thoroughly relaxed and with some great memories.

Excellent and friendly staff. Reserve is quite big and they seem very respectful of the animals. Roads to get to the lodge is rough, but easily doable by passenger cars.

Stunning. While not as densely populated with wildlife compared to places like Kruger, the scenery is incomparable. The staff and our ranger Anthea went the extra mile for us. The management is doing great things to preserve Africa’s finest and would highly recommend a stay at the Gondwana Lodge

Beautiful venue with friendly and helpful staff. It is very secluded wit no cellphone reception and other distractions like Televisions. A place where you can really switch off and relax. Ther are also game drives where you get the chance to view the Big 5.

Superb place to visit. The lodge is perfect with impressive food and staff who can't do enough for you.That's before you even get to the game drives which were incredible. We saw lions, a cheetah, rhinos (including a baby!), elephants, zebra, buffalo and plenty more.

Two safaris a day with amazing knowledgeable rangers, friendly accommodating staff, and comfortable suites set on an isolated reserve overlooking the Bellair dam. Amazing and breathtaking!

What a spectacular place. We did site inspections of all the lodges at Sanbona and stayed in their tented camp. This reserve really brings the Safari experience alive. The Western Cape is not known for it's game lodges but this reserve comes with lodges that can compete with the best in and around the Kruger National Park.
