CityROCK Cape Town - Indoor Climbing Gym

CityRock is amazing! They have such friendly staff who are incredibly helpful. Well kept premises with lots to offer. And the coffee shop is a nice touch. You can spend hours here!

We had our daughter’s birthday party @ City Rock, Cape Town on Sun, 25th Sept 2022. The kids had a blast. Storm & her team are 100% amazing. Thank u guys. You rock!!!

Best climbing gym in Cape Town. Been climbing here for the last few years and it is always a great time. Highly recommend it for children who are keen to try a fun day activity or for adults interested in the wonderful world of rock climbing.

Great climbing experience for my kids! The kids area is perfect with the auto-belays and kid-friendly bouldering wall. So much to keep them busy. With a belay tag, I was able to take my 9-year-old son onto the big walls and he loved the challenge. The place was very busy when we were there, but there were still plenty of options for climbing. The gear store and small cafe are great additions to the gym.

I love the gym. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bouldering and climbing gyms are updated weekly so there is always something fresh to climb. The workout section upstairs is comprehensive and the yoga / Pilates studio is spacious and light. The whole place has an energetic and fun vibe!

What an amazing experience!Worth every cent.The climbing experience for adults and kids was a first time and we couldn't get enough.The facilities were clean and the staff were very helpful.The five star rati g is for City Rock.The Vida Cafe gets a 2 star rating, they neeed a but more training.

The CityRock team was very helpful and accomodating to help make Joseph's 12th Birthday party special :) The party room was much more than we anticipated and plenty of time given for the boys to rock on after all the climbing! The instructors was super with the kids and very knowledgable as how to engage with each one. A BIG KUDOS and stronlgy reccomended!!!

My daughter had her 7th birthday party at City Rock CT. Ruby and Caitlyn were absolutely awesome. They were friendly and encouraging with the girls and kept them safe all the way. The party room is spacious and has simple but awesome paintings in the wall which make it really easy to add any decor. It was so much fun that even the parents chose to climb! Thanks for a brilliant time!

I booked my son's 8th birthday party at CityROCK Cape Town this year. All the kids had a fantastic time. The instructors gave them plenty of fun games to warm up with prior to getting into actual climbing. Safety is of utmost importance and everyone is supervised at all times. They take small groups to ensure individual attention. There is only one party allowed at a time which is great as you dont feel overcrowded. The party area is clean and generously proportioned to allow for a good sized party. You can bring your own catering etc or purchase from the onsite Vida. We all (adults included) had a blast and hopefully started a number of new climbing obsessions.

Best indoor rock climbing venue in Cape Town.They offer top rope, leading, bouldering, speed climbing, yoga, gym equipment, super clean restrooms with showers, studio, gear shop and a cafe. They really do offer a lot in one location.You may visit the gear shop for free. There is a day pass to access the climbing and other facilities. It is around R150 for an adult day pass (which lasts a day) and they do close late at night. Shoes and harness is around R90 and if you get one or another it’s R60.It is a worthwhile experience. It’s best to climb with a bunch of friends and I highly recommend finding someone that knows how to belay. There are auto belays available so you won’t need an experienced climber to assist you but it is recommended. Bouldering is open to everyone. Lots of new routes available. They are updated regularly.Super fun and enjoyable. Definite recommend.
