My Den Beachfront Bed and Breakfast | Self-Catering

My Den is situated on the beach. I will highly recommend this place. For a private beach experience.

Do not stay here no matter what. Rather stay next door to it but if you stay here then it basicly goes like this. There is wifi but they don't know the code, they have load shedding but never know when is it happening, they are too lazy to start the generator so they just don't, they have only one TV in suit which they have 2 single beds in the kitchen basicly. They don't disclose that they are situated on a dirt road.

Very pleasant ambiance. Lovely host provided excellent. Beautiful views. Multiple areas to relax in. Jacuzzi and pool. Suitable for a long stay. Very affordable. Access to the ocean from the house. Has everything you need (except body soap).

Place is nice private and peaceful, had good experience but was not ready to discover that soap/shower gel/shampoo and bath towels was not part of service

Nice place to stay, close to the beach, rooms have ocean views, excellent service, neat,tidy & rooms looked after

Friendly staff, clean Rooms and good Breakfast each morning, a far cry to what we left in Melville. The owner made our stay a friendly and comfortable one. We high recommend this B&B

I had the worse stay out of all the guesthouses I stayed in. The old lady at reception was very rude and she does not know how to speak to people in a more respectful manner. its as if she was doing you a favour by letting you stay there. The breakfast was the worse breakfast ever for two weeks of my stay I was eating same things every day. She kept on switching off the geyser and blamed on neighbouring to finish water. on top of that there was theft during the period of my stay and the old lady was not even remorseful. with the experience i had i really could not recommend it to any one. Firstly the reception needs someone younger and energetic, the old lady does not show energy. she treats people like they children.

Taking into account that this review is post COVID-19 lockdown with this type of establishment having suffered greatly, the offering was not bad. Pool was dirty and amenities minimal (breakfast offering, for example, quite basic). Our room was robbed while we were sleeping (they stole a Samsung Galaxy watch and took my handbag but dumped it on the property), and the water and electricity were out for an hour or so on 2 mornings. However, the friendly, energetic dog, Duke, was fun as he likes accompanying guests onto the beach. The place is clean and comfortable. The beach is absolutely beautiful and not as crowded as the main beaches. Lot of food and shopping places nearby as well.

Direct access to a beautiful beach, Oslo Beach. You can hear the ocean from your room and it's quite soothing. Lovely staff and the dog isn't annoying. Us non-pet lovers can co-exist with it.

Worst experience ever. One of the rooms didn't have water, complained and the lady told me she checked it has water. But theres never water in the mornings and night in some of the rooms upstairs. The lights were going off around the exact same time every night (i was there for two weeks) as if the place is timed to save electricity. Could have been coincidental loadshedding, doubt it. The ladies that clean there are amazing, very friendly. You just have to double check though if the cleaning was done properly, make sure they put in fresh towels. Had to ask many times for air freshener because the room i was in the toilet just smelled funny. They went in and sprayed the air fresher but didn't wanna leave me one in the room. Weird. Owner seems very stingy, can treat you like you're staying there by favor. Either than that, I enjoyed the pool and the people I was with made the whole experience bearable. There's also a cute dog there, and a private entrance to the beach.
