We discovered this gem on a stay in Riebeek-Kasteel. Excellent quality meat. Their salami sticks are the best I have ever had. The thick cut lamb chops are legendary. Friendly staff and now they have opened a new bigger shop and coffee shop and restaurant. We will be stopping there often.

Went there the first time last week...the butcher shop very neat and modern.We sat down in the restaurant for breakfast around 10 o'clock.....waited for a hour for breakfast to arrive at our table. During that time the lady owner arrived for coffee and her daughters or whatever, arrived ar the same time our breakfast did.Three of them stood close to our table and chatted and laughed so loud it was really uncomfortableI ordered french toast etc.the bacon was totally overdone...as hard as rock and the rest so disappointing. What a pity!

We were always happy with their service and quality of products. However, the last time we had a horrible experience! We placed our order on the Monday morning (as usual) for collection on Saturday and even gave them a collection time. What a pleasant surprise it was for my husband when he reached the farm and discovered that they did not take the order. What's worse is, the fact that they immediately butchered a lam, didn't clean it properly and just dumped it in the box! I was so disgusted when I opened the box! It still had hair all over. THIS IS NOT THE QUALITY AND SERVICE WE ARE USED TO - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! I'm still waiting for the owner to 'contact me' and apologize for the lack of service and incompetence of his team as promised.
