My Food Joint
After seeing the 5 start reviews and hearing a lot from the local residents about the excellent food and service I decided to give it a try. Called in to place an order and was accommodated accordingly, made an order for a 1/4 sugar beans and a 1/4 mutton bunny. I was notified that with the mutton bunny there would be no potatoes, which didn't seem like a deal breaker. Prep was around 35 minutes, hence the call in order. When we got our bunnies, it smelled very good, however when comparing to the local hotspots for bunny chows in and around the greater north coast side this didn't necessarily meet expectations. The beans bunny, was extremely soggy, the bread was swimming in curry, the beans where under cooked and still crunchy, the tomato base that was used was too over powering, and the beans curry had no potatoes. The mutton bunny suffered the same first two issues with the beans bunny, but with the expectation that there is no potatoes, meat was good quality but all in all not a great experience with a bunny we've had in comparison to others. I'm not sure if I would try My Food Joint again, unless they can prove me wrong on the next visit.

The best bunny chow ever. The food @ My Food Joint is freshly prepared and has a unique taste that cannot be found anywhere. Place is clean, neat and comfortable. Service is excellent, the owner and staff go out of your way to accommodate you, its the kind of place you will always go back too.

This is a brilliant establishment serves amazing food, freshly made, takes a bit longer but worth the wait. Hamza is warm and friendly and ensures that you're happy.

Got to say the revamp done to the store has made a big difference when you visit theres now ample space for seating. Parking always available as situated on quite Street of town. Owners give personal service to consumers and are well liked by locals. Large variety of food offered and this place does have a menu, you could eat in or take out, store is cash and accept credit cards

The food is incredible. Great service. Fresh and hot meals at very affordable prices. My favorite joint....especially for the chicken tikka and beans bunnies.

Today is the first time that we ordered from the food joint, we read your awesome reviews and reviews never lie. Apart from the owner being such a wonderfully sincere person, the food is delicious. We ordered chicken tikka and steak pitas, I had half a pita and I am full. It was fresh and flavoursome, the best I’ve had in a very long time. Despite me getting confused with the prices, I really think you guys under change for what you deliver. I know times are hard with water, but I appeal to your customers to please help this establishment in any way that you can as I will also try to do the same, they deserve the help during our water crisis. Please don’t despair, things will look up and may the odds continue to be in your favor.
