PAY MORE, GET LESS!I find it difficult to recommend V-O-S Gun Shop in Vereeniging where you pay more to get less!Towards the backend of 2021, I used V-O-S Gun Shop to restore a hand gun to which I attach sentimental value.The V-O-S quotation for the job was about 50% more expensive than several competing quotations, but V-O-S indicated that it required only 10-days for the job, while the competing quotations all required 30 to 45-days for the job.I was happy to pay V-O-S the 50% premium for the 10-day turnaround time.As it happened, V-O-S’s 10-days eventually stretched to more than 30-days (duh, I paid 50% more for a 10-day turnaround) and while the work carried out was mostly of acceptable, V-O-S was not prepared to assist with a small technical issue flowing from the restoration. UNLESS I PAY AGAIN.It seems that V-O-S’s pricing policy is arbitrary and changes with the owner’s moods. The environment in the store also appears to be less than harmonious and it is difficult to imagine that the staff go to work happy every day.All together, an experience best avoided!

Very disappointing will not refer anyone there. Bought a brand new firearm there nearly 2 years ago for my wife, it only came with one magazine. I then paid for 2 magazines in April 2019. - for R1600-00. Ask that they should phone me when it gets in (on order). Every 2 months I'll pass the shop just to find out the status. With no joy - the supplier being blamed. Mid December 2019 on still nothing being supplied I cancelled the order and asked my money back. They refused saying I must take something else. asking for 2 types of ammunition - no having in stock. Chris undertook to deliver the ammunition (replacement to the handgun magazines that they could not supply) when it came in to my house, of course did not happen. Now 18 th February 2020 Jaco the owner now also refuses to refund me. - Sick and tired!!! Bad Business stay away!!Now December 2022 and this monies have not been refunded. They are just thevies.

Warm welcome at first. But things take a bad turn when the business comes to play. You are treated like a number and the want to grab you money for all their overpriced firearms, ammunition, holsters, etc. And get you out of the store as soon as possible. I bought a Glock 19 Gen 5 firearm from them just to see its 2500 cheaper from another gunshop. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to vos for anything.

The shooting range is great, we got a lot of help from Chris. He is very patient and an excellent teacher. The shop is well stocked and the staff are friendly.

Excellent gun shop, very well stocked, Chris is excellent at what he does, he helped us at the shooting range and we had two people with us that were totally unexperienced with hand guns. I thought that I would have to teach them how to make a gun safe, how to fire a gun safely and everything concerning competency. I didn't have to do a single thing because Chris helped us all along the way and corrected us with everything that we did, Chris was very professional and to the point. It was a lot of fun, Thanks guys.

My Girlfriend and I went to test fire a couple of pistols, and had a great experience with friendly and helpful staff as well as great service.Very friendly over the phone as well as in person.Decent range for test firing weapons, as well as the best prices of all the gun shops I called as well as the biggest variety.The staff were very accommodating.It was well worth the drive. And we will definitely visit them again.

Very nice and helpfull stop while visiting the area, some of the best prices on some optics I have come across, they would also gladly order items not in stock if you do require. The property also has an indoor gun range, which members can use for free, and also a very unique selection of weapons. I would gladly visit again.
