Jetline Wits University

I have used this jetline at least once a week over the last few months and I’ve interacted with every member of staff. The three people at the front are very cool, but if I have anything very important that I need printed I only want to go to Dylan. If you need anything more than a simple photocopy or print, it is a battle to be understood and you end up compromising. The staff clearly don’t get any IT or photoshop training or otherwise they’re just getting away with having lied on their CVs. But the worst part of this place is undoubtedly the manager. He has messed up every job I’ve given him at least a little bit and they’re sometimes expensive mistakes. Like printing 20 a3 acetates with the contrast too low for them to be useable. But more than his incompetence with computers, his patronising attitude is unbearable to deal with. I ask for a black line drawing to be printed in orange and he spent a few minutes explaining to me that there was no orange in my image. That’s the whole point why I was there - to change it from black to orange? A job that a few more computer adept friends of mine have since said it should take about 20 minutes in photoshop, but he said it would take days. Needless to say it never got done and I had to settle for a simpler black and white print. I’ve since concluded he either has no idea how photoshop works or he’s very lazy. Either way, I hope I never have to deal with him again. Jetline is only for simple print jobs, do not expect any computer or design help beyond what an average person is capable of. But the three staff members at the front are very cool to have a conversation with and they in turn showed great patience with my stack of books I have had photocopied.
