ABC Appliance Repairs

This is absolutely NOT A TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY.Fraudulent, unreliable and dishonest.We were referred a technician called Vincent (from A2Z Refrigeration repairs ) to come and fix our washing machine that didn't drain.He claimed our pump was not working and charged us R1800 for it. He initially took our old pump into his car until we asked for it. He charged us R500 to clean our pipes and did not do a proper job.Our machine is currently not working anymore and the programming logic to the switches have been distorted. It can't start.We have been calling Vincent for 3 weeks - to which everyday he responds he is coming, which he doesn't.We called Chris and Michelle - both are apologetic but they don't do anything about. All they say is that they will call the technician which is Vincent himself.This is absolutely a scam and it seems to be happening throughout the appliance repairs industry via hello peter where they will claim something is broken and they will swap out the part.Please all read your reviews on Hello Peter, Google Review on any appliance repairs service before engaging one. 1 logically believable red flag is a huge red flag compared to multiple false positive reviews. Look up and search these reviewers to see if they exist in the first place.Try to reach out to at least one reviewer via their social media and verify directly, especially for the positive reviews.I've reached out to one and it appears that the person never engaged with the company before so it's a stolen identify under a fake account to generate positive reviews.

We needed an urgent callout for our washing machine to be repaired and Chris was able to deliver in good timing. He identified the problem, got the necessary parts and repaired our washing machine for us. It now works beautifully.This was all handled in a friendly and professional manner and without any delays.I highly recommend services by ABC Refrigeration Repairs.

I requested Chris to come check my fridge. Firstly he is never on time on the day or time he communicates he coming. When they got to my house and checked the fridge they cut the valve where the gas was released then they said that it was the compressor that was a problem and that it would cost me R3000-R3500 to sort out and that they can repair it. So when I said that I will get another quote Chris he said he was not Chris and Chris had sent him but he was Chris. The insurance sent a person to check it out and said it needed regassing and that there was nothing wrong with the compressor.So advise is please get a second opinion.

What fantastic service. Our washing machine broke on 20th December 2022. Chris came out to assess the problem and said he could have it fixed by the 21st. There was a part delay which meant he couldn't deliver the next day. He let us know this. On Christmas Eve he returned with the machine. While installing it, the cold water pipe connection split. He left and returned with a new connection at 19:00 on Christmas eve. He installed the machine and it works perfectly. At the time and due to the stress of the festive season, we might not have appeared to be grateful. But we just want him to know that he is amazing. We will definitely use him again.

Chris responded very quickly to my request to repair my oven that was not maintaining set temperature. He contacted the supplier, collected the part and replace the thermostat in good time. He was punctual and kept me informed on his movements. He was very professional and friendly. He was most helpful and answered all my questions, with demonstration where required. Good customer service. Highly recommended.

One of the only appliance repair places I could find to fix my dishwasher. Chris was quick and responsive and was able to find a replacement part for my old dishwasher. Extremely professional, I'm very happy with the job completed in only 15 minutes.Couldn't have asked for better service!

Thieves with a logo. Not only did they not repair my washer dryer but they successfully rendered it completely useless and find it amusing. R2,300 per hour con job.

Chris and his team have been life savers for both visits when my fridge and oven were giving me problems. Super professional, efficient and communicative. Highly recommend them!
