Singer Sewing Randburg

Fantastic service!! One of the few places left in Johannesburg to still get your sewing machine repaired/serviced. They also sell machines, new and second hand, and thread, bobbins, etc.

After using them again, I showed up and they had lost (apparently) my sewing machine. I was not reimbursed. Please do not use them. My sewing machine was my late mum's and above the financial loss, the sentimental value was irreplaceable.

Best place to take all makes of sewing machines for service. Great service and advice.

They charge for unnecessary replacement of parts that do not need to be replaced.Now 4 months later, the foot doesn't sit firm on the fabric when sewing.

Friendly, efficient service. Took my Pfaff sewing machine for a service, and received it back in 2 days!

Great service. I always take my machines there for servicing. They also have the best cotton thread. A bonus - They are so affordable.

Got nasty comments in Afrikaans from the owner (Im presuming) when my husband and I went in, in search for a spare part..It's not a bad shop... But customer service is everything - Really won't be returning here again!

2 stars only because, I have been taking my machines every 18 months for years with awesome service until now.... Prior to taking my machines been taken in yesterday, nora via telecom. Confirms R250 for quote, R485 for service. Plus extra for any parts needed, but she will let me know the cost before installation. Took in a second hand sewing machine and overlocker for service. The machine is broken, non repairable, so I ask them to dispose of it. The overlocker, next day, nora phones in to tell me cost is R745... Without my permission, they install such an expensive part... The owner asks me to 'not be difficult' with just a sorry for not phoning... And I must pay him R485 at least for a non working machine, once they remove the part. They should have charged me for a quote before even working on machine. Disgusting behavior. Don't support this thievery of a business. You will get cheated!!! They are not doing well, so trying to make a quick buck out of potential customers.

They are not Singer. They are only sellers of Singer - as per the head office. DO NOT give them your machine for repairs. I handed in a machine that was in full working order just needed some oiling, and after a lot of running after them and getting defensive answers, never coming back to me...they sent my machine to their head office as they could not put it back together after their technician took it all apart - as they finally had to admit. Head office confirmed the machine could only do one straight stitch after they put it back together from the state they received it in. In other words, the gears were broken. This was not the case when I handed it in, seeing as I was using the machine quite happily although not often, and only took it to them as a way to care for it. I was told that to replace that model, it would cost R5000. Their excuse was that this machine was very old. Maybe. But it was not broken when it entered their workshop"."

Marlene was an absolute please to deal with. Very knowledgeable about the sewing machine. I highly recommend this company!!!
