ACDC Dynamics Head Office

This might possibly be the worst goods supplier i have ever come across. Not only do you wait literally 30 minutes just to reach the reception/call centre. When you eventually do and they put you through to a sales rep you are put into a queue which makes you wait another 30 minutes just to hang the phone up whilst you are on the line. They then ask you to send them an email and when you do they take hours to mail you back. When you receive the quote it says they have x- amount of stock on hand, you then place the order they give you a collection number and a branch to collect. When you go to collect you wait an average of 2.5 hours just to receive the goods ordered. When you eventually get your order its incomplete. Its always a hassle dealing with this place because not only is it a nightmare to get information from them but the staff are the extremely rude. This is a sorry excuse for a company and i cant understand how they still do business. I so wish that i can give a zero star rating because that what this place has become...Edit: a few months later and nothing has changed, this place seriously needs to change or do something to change their ways of customer service. Because as of now that doesn't exist. Everyone I know who uses them as a supplier complains so why dont they change? Do they even look at these reviews, because if they did they would change the dire state of their customer service. Truly an awfull awfull place to get any information, help or even a phone call out of. I give it a one out of ten in hopes that they can get their act together

Website not user friendly at all. Stock availability on website is incorrect. I confirmed the stock on website, then placed the order with one of their distribution centers, only to have order placed on back order. More than 2 weeks later and I still have not received my ordered parts. Not trustworthy if you need to complete a project.

A pity that such a big company has such a negative attitude towards their small clients. They are impossible to deal with if you are a small client. Don't bother with their online ordering system its an absolute JOKE!We ordered and paid for an inverter to be delivered. 1 week later nothing. Emails ignored. Don't even bother to call them. Easier to get hold of Cyril Ramaphosa than ACDC client services.Went into LONG MEADOW head office exactly a week to the day to try to collect the undelivered order. Was told it was not processed. Was told wait 30 mins. So I went into the retail section to burn some time and more cash.Went back to collection and was told, sorry for you not today, possibly if you come back tomorrow. WTAF!!! and this is for COD purchases already paid.I sent a letter to the CEO Mario Mio. I know he or one of his gate keepers got the letter, still ignored. I asked them to cancel and refund me.Today I get a email from some tracking system they use for their vehicles. It says your order is on its way now!" LOL I am not kidding the vehicle has not moved for at least 4 hours and shows them still at head office.I know I was a small client and probably only spent a few thousand rands a year with them

Returned an extractor fan a week after I had purchased it. ACDC confirmed it was faulty after waiting 30 minutes to get it tested. After some debate I was told I would get a refund within 2 days. 1 week later and I'm still trying to get it resolved. Wouldn't buy anything of significance there. They are quick to repair and not keen to take responsibility. [Update 12 Mar]. I note the response below but was already dealing with your customer service and accounts department. Finally the amount was refunded after numerous follow ups via email. It was a nightmare to get this refunded due to additional supporting information requested from my bank. Compares to other places, I believe your customer service and accounts department to be lacking.

Great place to find everything you need, and more, way over priced tho.Revamp looks great.Sales counter needs to get quicker, as wait times can be a bit long.Very helpful staff

Aubrey in the Germiston branch sold me solar panels assuring me that they would be compatible with my inverter which it turns out was not true. When I contacted the company to book a technical call about it to decide if I should buy another invertor or whether I should return the product, I received an aggressive call early in the morning from Aubrey who was not interested in solving the issue. He only wanted to know if the head office had come to my house. Although I had booked a technical call with the company, the company didn't bother to call me at the time of the scheduled call. That was on the Monday. On the Tuesday, I went into the Modderfontein branch where I received good technical advice and confirmation that these panels did not go with my inverter. The consultant at the solar desk was very knowledgeable and helpful. However, the customer service people in this branch would not allow me to return the panels there and said I would have to go to the Germiston branch which I did on the Wednesday. I spoke to the manager Tony who did agree to refund me for the panels which I appreciated. Tony handled the issue well and was very pleasant. Thank you Tony. Note though that the refund procedure is complicated and apparently I will need to wait several days for the money to be sent via EFT to my account. This seems to be quite a new company with a big product range and shop floor but that would benefit from improving some of its procedures and ensuring more consistency among staff in terms of the service delivered.

Great store for your electrical needs and solar. They get quite busy so be ready to spend a bit of time here.

The worst is head office with repairs and feed back it never happens at all. Not even the express shops can get any feed back on any repairs sent in.I cannot buy and supply to clients as repairs and warrenty take to long and warranty's are never followed up. Had a inverter that is three months old and works but starts to smell. Sent back under warrenty on the 9th of May 2023 and as of the 18th of May 2023 still no feed back on warrenty.Not the first time this is now my sixth time with the same problem as above. Very bad customer service. Well just an update and still not happy at all three weeks down the line and it's stopped working and no one wants to take responsibility at all no one will give answers or replace there useless inferior quality products. Waiting to hear from head office two days and still nothing.

When you walk in, you can't help but be impressed. It is a spectacular place with almost anything you might need for home improvement projects.Not knowing how the process works to request items from the Information desk left me a little unsure and with it being a Friday, even less staff were around to assist.When I was helped and requested a length of specific cable, I was told there is a 90min to 2 hour waiting period. I was assisted with a COD Pick List order and came back on Saturday morning to a different vibe.A Floor Manager (?) greeted me upon entering and asked if he could assist. I was directed to the gent who helped me the day before and even though my cable was still not cut, I waited less than 15 minutes before it came, which I used to obtain two cable joint kits.I was surprised by the amount of discount given on the final invoice and thanked the gent for his assistance. I'll be back for sure as their standard pricing (even before discount) beats my local ACDC Express.

Very disappointed in the service from you people. I purchased a 1000VA UPS purely to run my Wi FI router for load shedding. After two months it failed, I returned it and the answer i got was it is burnt out because I never had a surge protector plug on. As far as I am concerned, they already have built in protection. Now they refuse to give any money back and also, I don't even get the unit back. As far as I am concerned your service is absolutely useless.
