We had such a nice time at Underhill Farm. If you are looking to get away from the bustling city, enjoy some relaxing quiet time surrounded by nature, then this is the place to go. Very nice hosts and the cottages have such a laid back atmosphere. Everything you need is there. Highly recommended!

Such a prime spot to getaway and just relax in a cozy cottage right by the river! You can fall asleep while looking at the stars and listening to the sound of the river. I would also recommend the sauna!

Hidden gem!Lovely secluded getaway in beautiful surrounds.Well provisioned and comfortable accommodation were a pleasure to relax in.We came in the winter and found our cottage very cozy.Electricity was provided by solar power, so loadshedding wasn't a factor.The vintage wood fire stove was fantastic, and wood was in ample supply.We loved our stay, and will be returning.Many thanks to Jules for accommodating us at short notice and making us welcome.

What a lovely spot for some family grounding! We especially enjoyed the pizza oven, the games and the musical instrument s that came with the Earthship. Such a unique stay, definitely worth a visit and not hindered by winter weather; there are 3 sources of fire inside (fireplace, potbelly stove, pizza oven), plenty of things to do inside and enough warm blankets. Our kids loved swimming and going for a walk, their highlight was definitely Bilbo’s garden

Loved this secluded, beautiful little spot. Cottage had everything we needed. The bed was big and comfortable. We loved the sound of the babbling brook just outside and enjoyed walking on the farm, spotting the many birds. Jules was a very gracious host and all bookings and arrangements worked very smoothly. I'd definitely return.

What a unique place to stay. It feels like you are stepping into the pages of a book...be it a fairytale when switching on the fairylights surrounding the house.... or the hobbit when looking at the greenery growing on the roof. Our dogs had a ball of fun running around the enclosed garden and we had fun prepping food while looking out at the forest of trees lining the banks of the river just below Oak Cottage.Thank you Julian for allowing us to share in your creation at Underhill Farm

We had an amazing time at Underhill Farm. Julian is an exceptional host, he is friendly and very welcoming. He accommodated our request for an earlier check-in without any hassle. The Oak Cottage we stayed at is cozy and well equipped with all you need for your stay. The dishwasher is a wonderful value add especially for our longer than a weekend stay. The fact that we could bring out cats along was a win in our books. they really enjoyed the stay, the fire place was a hit which we had burning 24/7. We felt extremely safe on the farm and in general we had no security concerns. The farm is about 30min drive from Grabouw. We will be back to stay in some of the other cottages as each has a different appeal. Well done to Julian and his team.

AMAZING STAY, we stayed in the Willow Cottage and really needed a break from the world. And oh my GOSH! Everything you need, it's there. Outdoor shower with hot water, amazing splash pool over looking the forest, the place was tidy, clean and so adorable. We felt like we were living in a Hobbit style movie! Would 100% recommend staying here, we'll definitely be back. And Jules is a great host! We can't wait to come back again!From De Wet, Chani, and our 4-footed babies!

If you are looking for a rustic,no frills home,then willow cottage is perfect. It's a home exactly like you would imagine in a fairytale. My dogs loved swimming in the river and the forest walks. The splash pool is so refrshing after a long walk. You cannot get any closer to true nature than at underhill. Everything is environmentally friendly. We only used the outside shower. There is no better way to enjoy nature. Oh and the strawberries we plucked tasted fantastic.
