Ikhaya Safari Lodge

Just back from a wonderful stay at Ikhaya, beautiful location and excellent hospitality from Kathe and family! Will definitely make a return visit to explore more thoroughly. Many thanks Kathe, you are a star and we are very grateful for your introduction to South African welcomes!

Great service, beautiful home and an amazing view. The service was superb, delicious breakfast and very good tips from the South African owner. They have two sweet wiener dogs that are always in the house playing with the guests, so if you don’t like dogs be aware or if you love dogs like me you will have fun with them. The only thing I did not like so much was the skins of animals and trophies as decoration. I understand there is an African them but I’m opposed to hunting.

Zebra (honeymoon room) has 7 windows everyone overlooked by other guests and staff on the way to and from the car park. Fridge scarily dirty.More geared to corporate events. Clean room and nice toiletries. My husband enjoyed his breakfast.Lovely views but main road noisy. Very near great restaurants.

A beautiful place to stay at a perfect location. The views are breathtaking and the staff is the best.We have had a wonderful stay and we will be back for sure!

The manager at the lodge is an amazing woman.Doing an outstanding job, her client service is beyond amazing. She meet and greet us on arrival went with us to our room to explain everything to us. The breakfast is amazing, I never experienced such outstanding service before, felt like royalty.Keep up the good work, Ikhaya!!I will definitely recommend the place to friends and family.I loved it at the lodge.Liza

Everything was perfect start to finish. A place and experience I can't ever forget! Will definitely visit again!!

We stayed in the honeymoon room zebra room.. it’s in the main house and is way to noisy can hear EVERYTHING outside the room.(now imagine inside what they can here from outside) just too creepy for my liking .. FYI please get your cleaners to clean under the couch it’s disgusting in that room..it’s like they don’t move anything to clean just clean around the couch…we want privacy and you can’t get that in that room… we then asked to be moved to another room which was nice and actually romantic called pumba room..bed was only a double bed but made do. Same thing applies they didn’t clean before we moved there, lots of dust under side tables etc.... 2nd night stay was much better than 1st night HOWEVER, if u sleep in the pumba room it’s like daylight in there at night with way to many bright lights outside.. no block out curtains and very bright in the room, recommend they put block out curtains or something .. a slight issue with hot water in both rooms, showers run cold quickly. The host is very accommodating and nice

I'm a little disappointed, we were looking at spending some time at this Lodge in September 2023 and I emailed them asking for a bit more photos of the lodge or do they only have the two photo's of the unit. Kathe replied to me saying yes". I understand that they need to attend to various emails
