The IIE's Varsity College - Sandton

First time met with Kabelo & asked him about if nsfas fund, he said they are funded by nsfas, not only that. He made me pay for the wrong course R1750 for a bachelor's where as I was supposed to pay R400 for High certificate. I then spoke to Elmarie. She also said that they accept funding from NSFAS. I still have the chats. I then proceeded to R2000 pre registration fee after she has confirmed that Nsfas does fund them. Today we went to get the acceptance letter. We got a different story from the finance where they say they are not funded by NSFAS. Lloyd from finance reffered me to get my refund when I got there the Indian lady was so rude did not even want to listen to me, when I told her i want my refund for the mislead i got from Kabelo and Elmarie want refund for the wrong information and for the bad service they gave us. Driving from the Vaal for Sandton for them not answering their phones, emails and WhatsApp , if they did not mislied us I would have not pay the application fee of R1750 and Pre registration of R2000 I need that refund they cannot say is non-refundable because they are the ones who mislead us please process my refund.

My Son completed 1st year computer science in 2022.From the onset admission was a total nightmare. We are approaching the end of Jan 2023, we have not received any statement of results to reapply for his student loan. We have been to the college thrice in 2 weeks and are continously told we will get back to you next week". Pls can someone address this matter urgently. This is below standard service from a private institution. Reading all these negative reviews of similar issues guess its time to take it this matter toa broader platform."

January is almost over and I still don’t have my results. I tried calling and of course they don’t answer calls, emailing them (including the Doreen Mukuku) and even logged tickets. Had to drive from the NW to Sandton campus 2 weeks ago only to get my results verbally not on black and white. The matter was escalated until today I have not received any feedback from them. I’m still trying to call them with no luck, I have been leaving messages with the admin and still no feedback from anyone. And with them saying it’s the system, they are forgetting that, that system is controlled by a human being. Lastly the email address that they send on reviews is also not helpful, I’ve emailed to them, sent my details and the response I received was to specify my campus, and I was told I’ll get a response from the campus til today, nothing!

Worst experience ever!!!!. Very unprofessional and poor service. Phones are never answered and emails not responded to. All I have been asking for as an account payer is approval for a transfer to a different campus because I am sick and tired of the treatment I receive from the Sandton campus. All forms were complete timeously and emails sent. No response!!!!

It was the worst experience ever trying to get my daughter registered for her second year. With the tuition fees being so expensive...is this the kind od service we get. The staff completely unhelpful. I would not advise anyone to go Varsity Sandton. I definitely made a hige mistake.

Don't go there. There's staff who are very helpful but as an online student nothing of theirs went smoothly and there's no physical campus to Go to,to sort out any of your issues. You just need to keep calling and pestering and escalating things before they finally get done. One IT issue after another, coupled with a handful of people who are ready to find reasons why they CAN'T help you.There's a more who are willing to assist though, but the technology still fails them as well .

What a joke. 3 weeks of registration problems followed by 2 weeks of waiting for a refund (which I still have not received) disgusting attitude from the head of admissions and honestly don not seem to value any of their students. Avoid.

I would not recommend Sandton Varsity College at all. Their service's has been horrible and they do not uphold the image that they claim to be.

Varsity college student advisors are not truthful. The service is also bad. Kabelo which was my first student advisor said i do qualify for a bachelor degree and said I need to pay R1750. After paying that amount and did a follow up the told me that i do not qualify for Bachelor's degree and that i should take higher certificate which is R400, so not that it is not my fault they refuse to give me back refund of R1350. Not 1 but 2 advisors said they do accept Nsfas funding, so I went ahead with paying the R2000 pre registration fee because they said the are funded by nsfas. After paying that they say they are not funded by nsfas. They lied
