Defnetly not a 3 star. Rooms wasnt prepared , there were only one butter knife lots of forks no steak knifes and only one glass needed to ask for more glasses. Rooms were full of spider webs and spiders we used a full can of doom in the rooms. Bathroom also didnt have any toilet paper and no small hand towels or something just to dry your hands.

The best retreat, braai facilities, close to the Orange rivier, beautiful, weekend away or a week stay to relax. 30 min from Colesberg and 10 min drive from the Gariep dam.

My favourite and only place I use as a stop over from pretoria to the cape. In fact the tented camps is so tranquil and peaceful on the orange river that we stay an extra day. You get firewood on the house with a loyalty bar, pool and breakfast, dinner area at house. Beautiful place just a few kilometers from the gariep dam.

A good budget option. They have some nice new chalets too. A few minutes drive from the Gariep dam wall. The manager was friendly. The beds were comfortable

Great stop over. It is quiet and tranquil. Lovely swimming pool for those hot summers days. Rooms were clean and neat. Pet friendly. Dinner and breakfast provided on request.

We stayed here for only one night. The host was okay, but our room had no toilet paper. Only small towels. No dishwashing liquid and cloth and only one fork. I got the idea the room wasn't prepared for us. During the night the dogs were barking, obviously disturbing your rest. The room was affordable and clean. I would rather stay in Colesberg next time.

We had a wonderful stay here on our way to and from the western cape. The beds were comfy, the service was great and it was exactly half way. We paid for the breakfast which was delicious.

The family unit wasn't stocked sufficiently for 4 people. Only 1 fork, 2 drinking glasses etc. Found previous guests' hair in the bathroom. Torn bath towels that smelled bad. Used toothpick on main bedroom carpet. No heating in main bedroom. We were very cold during the night. At least Chané was friendly. Will NEVER stay there again. I don't agree with SA Tourism that this is a 3-star establishment.

Friendly Management. Definately a good choice to sleep over after traveling between Gauteng and Cape. Halfway resting spot. Comfortable beds. Swimming pool. Great landscaping view. Tv room with you tube, netflix and internet access. Ice and braaipacks available with braai facility. Close to Gariep dam wall.
