The Boma

Beautiful and well looked after venue! Everyone at party enjoyed our time there.

Was there recently for a function and it was gorgeous! The food was South African themed, perfection. The venue is cozy, romantic and beautiful.

Oh what a stormy day here by us but we still dared to explore a new spot to eat out. We ventured into the wild and just of the Sardinia Bay road we found a place called The Boma. What an extraordinary restaurant in the bush very well laid out and sheltered form the the stormy weather. Although they had a potjie kos and other specials we opted just for a coffee and toasted Bacon, egg and tomato sandwich but to our surprise this was served with some salad and a large portion of chips. OMG what a good filling meal, more than what we expected. They even had a live reptile show reptile with the snake handler allowing the patrons touching and holding the pythons and other non harmful snake. A must to explore, and maybe you will enjoy it. here are photo of us and the place.

The food is amazing. They have a mini bar (I didn't know 90%of the wines they stocked) had a blast. PE is windy don't gamble with the outside venue cos it gets cooolldddd but they have blankets at least but still it gets cold ladies so carry a jacket.

Such a lovely venue on the Sardinia Bay Road in Port Elizabeth, well run and managed by owners Sarah and Ralph Dirsuwei. I love the rustic, yet comfortable décor set in a glass enclosed restaurant area within a treed courtyard. The food is always exceptional and caters to every dietary requirement.I personally think it's the perfect wedding venue.

My wife and I fell in love with the venue the first time we saw it. We just knew that The Boma was going to be our venue for our special day. What impressed us most, was the professional way in which Sarah and her staff handled our wedding.From the first consultation and viewing, right through the pandemic, to our big day, they were absolutely sublime in the way they arranged and executed everything.The biggest compliment that we received from our guests was that the food was delicious and we have to agree. The food was fantastically well prepared and a really big feather in the cap for The Boma and its staff.Me and my lovely wife will recommend this venue to everyone. It left us with such great memories.

The Boma is a very serene place with lots of greenery. A nice little spot for intimate events or occasions for family and friends.The food is absolutely amazing and the spit braai is next level. Definitely a place to revisit. Parking is limited a bit but doing.

This is an amazing venue for functions and weddings in particular. They have an excellent team that works well together and are all very friendly. They really do take the burden off your shoulders, when organizing an event for you and take pride in what they offer . The venue is award winning. The food is absolutely scrumptious and there is a variety of menus to choose from. You can have the wedding indoors or outdoors depending on the weather and feel you may be going for. Overall the Boma is highly recommended.
