It caters for different types of outdoors activities such as picnics, braais, walks, water activities, birding and many more. Broken in to sections that is better suited to some of those activities than others. Close to public transportation and shopping facilities. Something that the whole family can enjoy.

Another one of those gems hidden away in an urban area.The vlei is a great spot for a braai to simply to relax and you can also drive through to look at the many birds that make the park their home.Beware that you'll never get used to the smell of the sewage plant, but the birds are gorgeous and there are informative displays to help you undersatnd the environment.Very few people there so no crowds and long drops toilets are available

Nice and quiet. Very relaxing. Security can be a problem. Use pit latrine toilets, not nice, grew up with the bucket system, reminds me of that.
