Bad experience with this school. Watched a netball game and me and my sister got humiliated by their ref just because we spoke TO EACH other regarding a mistake on the field. We did not attack her..just like any game you speak to EACH OTHER regarding a game..nothing to do with the ref. Even our coach said nothing was said badly to her. Guess this is why so manu bullying is going on in the school. Pathetic...one of our player's mom took her daughter out of the school due to bullying.

The management and board of this school is not looking after the wellbeing of kids. Despite numerous complaints and feedback from teachers, they are out to foster their own personal agendas and the support of certain parents with the right connections to the determent of other parents and kids. Bullying allowed by kids and parents(!) if you have the right connections etc. So sad how a historically good school can fall due to bad management. 15 teachers left this school last year. Management too blind to take responsibility for bullying and treating teachers bad by management. I foresee the school will fair dismally in the next 5 years as parents leave if they do not wake up and change direction. Just look at all the other bad reviews. And then the school tries to make the reviews look better by their own staff reviewing their own school - tells you everything you need to know.

Tranquil atmosphere and like a proper shool from the good old days with lots of space.

The school as lot of space for the kids daily activities well protected alarm sometimes irritating it sometimes go off for the Grade 5 trip

Beautiful school with some gem teachers, but it does seem that the school has an issue getting a grasp on bullying...

The school is akin to a grave, beautiful on the outside.... The school requested, a while back, that I provide more clarity regarding my review. In short, my child was bullied and it got to the point where I had to involve the Dept of Education on two occasions as the management failed to intervene. The school's management then called me in for a meeting to tell me that Tygerpoort wasn't the school for us. The Dept of Education ruled in our favour and insisted the school make changes to accomodate special needs and limit bullying but we in any case decided to leave after a year as the poor attitude of the management and bullying remained unchanged.
