If you enjoy Striped horse beer served up on a cold glass in a dimly lit bar, you should check them out. They have a good selection of drafts, bottles and cans...not to mention some killer happy hour specials and a well stocked bar.They have live music sometimes, an outdoor patio and a kitchen with that has a good mix of quick pub food that leans mostly on the fried side.The staff was friendly and attentive and considering the amount of tourists they serve, still had on smiles.If you are in the mood for beer and pub food in a good place to chill out, be sure to roll through. ps- the jalapeño poppers need to be cooked about two minutes longer. ;)

I had a few drinks with a lady and asked for the bill at the bar. The owner Yuri was not there as I wanted to complain about the barman's attitude. He brought the bill approx R340 and I paid it without a tip. The barman came to the other side of the bar between myself and the lady I was with and said when you pay by credit card you have to tip" . I called him over the bar 2 mins afterwards and told him I will pay a tip if I am happy with the service which I wasn't. He is a rude person giving this bar a bad name. Yuri get rid of this guy. There are many bad reviews about the service I for one will never go there again and do not recommend it to anyone. Yuri on the other hand is a good guy.Change your bar staff Yuri you will get more patrons and let me know when you do it I will be back."

I have had the pleasure of indulging in what can only be described as a slice of heaven on earth.Yes, you guessed it right - I am talking about the mouth-watering PIZZA at Striped Horse and let me tell you, it was more than just a meal. It was an experience!

We were sitting outside and the wind blew one of the empty glasses over on our table. After the waiter came to clean it up we were informed it would be R75 to replace the glass. We had already spent over R800 at the bar collectively. Very disappointing considering this was cause by the wind and not lack of care.

Although the Horse is open many nights a week. I can recommend Saturday nights with DJ Mario its an electric atmosphere and a mix of age groups from 18 - 60!!! Music is outta this world 360 degrees across all genres... the beer and tequila options are vast with super friendly bar people and security.

A bar in down town Muizenburg with alot of calm and fun.. a great place to visit on a friday night.. the beer is cheap, the music is good ol 80s .. the deco has got a Cuban/ South American swing. Loved it

The Striped Horse is just an iconic spot in the muizenberg area. Live music, sport, dj's...it is just one of those places you have to visit. Excellent decor and a really chill hip vibe.

Fantastic vibe, awesome peeps, watching SA vs All Blacks and gooooo South Africa great game, nailed it, winners!! Super pub, love the decor! Great conversation with strangers! Definitely be back to try the raved about chicken wings!
