New Jerusalem children Home celebrating 21st Anniversarary this year 2000/01/01-2021/01/01

Receiving its first child in 1999 and officially registered in 2000 by Sisters Phina and Adv Anna Mojapelo with backgrounds in Social Work spanning 40 years and Law. New Jerusalem has currently been running for now well over 20 years.With its main theme being a safe haven for abused abandoned malnourished and orphaned children it has seen well over 1500 children pass through its doors since inception.Having both a mother and aunt who I saw run this this place from nothing to a establishment that many of my little brothers and sisters call home is nothing but the grace of an Almighty figure.One of the wonderful aspects apart from being an orphanage is the focus on the Spiritual Development of children, In a world where technology and instant gratification have taken over, its lovely to see Anna Mojapelo having a high focus on Spiritual Development of the kids.NJCH is not only a place for the abandoned yet serves as a portal to integrating the children from the surrounding townships with all forms of community building activities that take place within grounds of NJCH.The running of this orphanage has been due mainly to all the selfless souls that have been part of building this legacy and maintaining the day to day needs or over 90 children at any given time. All The staff of NJCH current and past are truly the corner stone of this establishment.Today NJCH is growing from strength to Strength, with the addition of Orange Babies Montessori In 2012 now Lanto Montessori which offers Montessori Education for the lower income homes at a third of Montessori prices.The Lanto Primary school is now operational to grade 4 with hopes of extending all the way to grade 7 in the near future and housing 180 children. Building of the new structures are well underway.This truly is the New Jerusalem , for all the negatives we can count for any child not having the love and warmth of a mom dad and family , NJCH certainly ticks all the other boxes of having a child’s basic needs met and more.Pictures are over a 10 year period of NJCH.
