Wow what a great experience. The Kapama Karula team was unbelievably professional, experienced and insightful.Firstly, our experience was incredible. We saw so many beautiful animals and a great variety too. We were able to get close to the animals without many other cars and people to obstruct the experience.Our ranger and tracker were amazing - very personable and insightful. They made sure everything was up to standard and that our experience was as enjoyable as possible.The accommodation and food was something you'd expect at a fancy hotel and restaurant. We had such a wide variety of fresh, delicious food. The rooms and facilities were amazing.Thanks to the whole team!

Fabulous rooms, a guide and a tracker each dedicated to you during your entire visit, very good food, and great equipment. Wonderful. Has a wide variety of animals to see and compared with three other game reserves that we visited, has dirt roads good enough that we could travel far when needed to get to them. Since it is a private reserve the guides in different vehicles could cooperate to point out what was where and when to view it.

EVERY SINGLE DETAIL of the entire stay was perfect! We stayed for 4 nights and got engaged during the stay. The manager on duty, Aruna, went above and beyond and made the stay even more spectacular. Our server, Nsovo, was top class. The food was out of this world, with attention to detail, and catering to all tastes.The villas were awesome with the view of the bush from the heated private pool being a big highlight. Again EVERY SINGLE DETAIL, flawless.The park itself, plenty of animals including multiple sightings of all of the big 5. Our ranger and tracker (Ian and Sidney) were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the game drives and experiences.Highly recommend Karula for your 5 star bush experience!

Wow! Wow! Wow! If you are looking for an amazing safari experience with top-notch accommodations and service, then your answer is Kapama Karula! We stayed at Kapama Karula at the beginning of April. Here are some of the highlights of our luxurious experience -- drive out of the gate from Hoedspruit Airport (HDS), and drive directly into the gate for Kapama Private Game Reserve; Ian and Mike (safari guides) were OUTSTANDING and exceptionally accommodating; private villas at Karula were just that...private, luxurious, and had a private pool for each villa (leave swim attire at home); all items were included (no nickel-and-diming for anything), including the food/beverages/wine in the minibar; laundry service was included; OUTSTANDING service from all lodge staff; spa treatments were some of the best we had ever experience (yes, it is surprising to discover amazing spa and services in the wild" in a safari lodge) and spa services were very reasonably priced. Book your reservation....it's worth it!!"

By far the best experience! The chef was amazing, Al of our food was top quality, our guide was funny and adventurous, the staff was so friendly. There's a reason this is a 5 star resort. Heavily recommend!

We stayed here during our honeymoon and had the most magical time with so many surprises which we won’t spoil here! Attention to detail here has been outstanding. Staying on-site at the private reserve meant that we were able to really immerse ourselves into the Safari experience beginning with the pick up from our guides at the airport and the short drive over the road into the reserve. Room looked directly out onto the river and we saw a number of animals from our room and about the property. Our room with a pool was modern, spacious and tastefully decorated with all the amenities you could want and need. We used the gym and spa and both were modern, we enjoyed a brilliant massage and steam room. Our guides Bongani and Suggest were absolutely brilliant throughout, able to answer all our questions and we learnt so much! All of the staff made us feel so special and welcome, remembering our names and our dietary requirements. Food was brilliant - generous portions and plenty of choice and a great selection of drinks on offer. We were able to see the big 5, and most from such close proximity. We just didn’t want to leave!

Absolutely amazing stay! We had such an amazing time. We had Justice, Elvis, and Suggest on our game drives and we saw every animal you could want to see on safari and more. They set up such a nice setting and bar for our stops on the drives. The villas were absolutely stunning and Rita did such a beautiful job refreshing our room. The food was outstanding and the dining service was incredible and Johan was so attentive to our every need. I was able to enjoy the spa and the massage by Lingu was so therapeutic and relaxing. We definitely were not ready to leave and sincerely hope we get to return again someday! - Kristin and Gabe

Everything about Kapama Karula is amazing. The staff is incredible - every single person we encountered was friendly and helpful, and we loved having personal attention from the same team throughout our stay. Our tracker and guide were very impressive, having detailed answers for our questions, pointing out not only interesting facts on the flora and fauna, but giving us info on the South African culture of the region. We enjoyed the food, our beautiful and comfortable room, and the spa facilities. On top of it all, knowing that our stay helped sustain the private reserve and the anti-poaching efforts on the property made it extra easy to spend money at the resort. This was by far one of our favorite vacations, and we can't wait to return.

Fabulous. Guides were awesome. Arbrie and Elvis were fantastic!Dining is great and smiling faces everywhere.. even had some monkeys visit our villa.
