Bica cafe

Ag I just love this place! I found them on TikTok and now we are on holiday and live five minutes walk from them, and we have probably been there five times already! Their pastries are amazing and the bread and stuff is amazing too!

Love this place! Stopped in and ordered a cappuccino, pastel de nata, almond croissant, and a latte. Everything was extremely delicious and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be coming back!Plus, you can get a coffee and pastel de nata for only R30 :)

Bit of a nostalgic trip down memory lane with tram 28, coffee and pastel de nata, cooked to perfection. Also had a roll and cheese, which was devine.

Authentic Portuguese bakery. Fresh Pastel de nata, soft centered Portuguese cheese, proper rolls. Everything we’ve had from here has been great.

Delicious pastries. We shared a bow tie and chocolate croissant. Both were devoured in seconds. Coffee is strong and atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. A great cafe!

Best galao ever with a cheese and ham in a Portuguese roll along with their version of a doughnut, guess it has another name in Portuguese, delicious. Not to forget their flavoued imported spakling water, my favourite is the lemonThanks Bica for great and friendly service

Wonderful and very friendly service. Really good pastéis de nata. The best pastéis de nata at Cape Town and for sure the “real Portuguese ones”.

This is a nice and cozy place right by the Royal place hotel. It was very quiet when I went there. The atmosphere and look of the place is quite nice. There are sits for those who would like to enjoy their pastries at the bakery. They serve both sweet and savoury delicacies. The bola de Berlim was good. There was a good balance of the bola and the custard. The pastel the natas, however, was far from the authentic Portuguese pastel. The natas in the pastel was not rich enough and simply tasted like maizena (cornstarch) with sugar. The sumol was just as good as I remember it from my childhood. The prego smelt outstanding and I would definitely go back to Bica to have a taste of that prego. The staff were friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable considering they are serving things you don't easily find everywhere.
