GREEN PALM COTTAGE

Beautifully renewed old, traditional house, close to the coastal area, with lovely garden and full facilities for great stay in Plettenberg bay area.

Loved the privacy, decor, room was wonderful. Free range of kitchen use, utensils and amenities. Horst is a wonderful host and no issue is too small or too big for him. I liked the fact that we were welcomed and then left alone. Definately will stay here again in future, and I highly recommend this establishment to every one needing accommodation in Plett on their travels.

Let's be honest, this is budget accommodation so I can't be fussy. It was clean, conveniently located and close enough to the beach.I still expect certain standards and believe things should work and be safe. The only kettle is in a communal kitchen. The bottom was rusty and the switch broken so would not turn off and had to be lifted off the stand. The TV looked great but the connection was so poor it spent the entire weekend buffering rendering it useless. We weren't there to watch TV so I left it. The shower in our room was a bath attachment. The head was fixed to the wall at my chest height, and I am only 1.7m tall. Our door didn't fit the frame well so it was a mission of pushing, pulling and lifting to try and get it to open, close and lock. One of the two plastic chairs on our terrace was broken.If these maintenance issues were attended to it would be perfectly acceptable accommodation.

It's a basic yet effective clean accommodation. Horst was friendly and helpful.

Not the best place if you would like some privacy and peace. Room was comfortable and water pressure in shower was fantastic.

This is a clean, safe and comfortable place to stop over for a night or more, if you're exploring Plettenberg Bay. The German host is hospitable and courteous.

Booked the cottage rooms for a week and was not disappointed. Within walking distance of the beach, a fully equipped communal kitchen, a braai for each cottage unit and the place is kept very neat and clean. The owner, Horst, is very friendly and helpful. Made us feel very welcome upon arrival. Would definitely recommend this place.
