Goodwood Traffic Department

Arrived at the traffic department at 2pm to book a day to do my license with Goodwood. I had to wait in line. Give my ID and license paper with 2 identical ID photos. Then had to go for a eye test. The eye test went quickly. Great service. After passing the eye test you have to wait in the third Q to pay R135 to book a date. I completed full booking in 1 hour and 30min. Checked my time when I left and it was 3.29pm.I wish there were machines where we can book and date and pay and provide info too to make the process quicker. I feel like I am living in the dinosaur years.

Really wonderful experience today when renewing my driver's licence. Two separate queues the right hand side (looking at the building) is the queue for anything drivers related. The left is for anything licence disc related. Quick, efficient, friendly and they provide you proactively with all the information you need to know. Place needs a revamp though.. overall great experienc!

Probably one of the best public services and for the month of Jan 2021 open on a Sunday. Got here at about 7:15 Sunday morning and only 2 people in the line. Officials came to check if you were in the right place and with the right documents. Great service. Make sure to carry all your documents and a black pen. Stand in the correct line. Collections is much quick and starts first. Inside the process was quick and easy. All done in 20min.

Very friendly staff. No long queues, fast and efficient. First time visit here today, and very impressed overall. Keep it up to all employees.

Good service, just make sure you have documents to avoid going up an down. Make sure you bring a hat or something to cover your head because of the line you have to wait in the sun but if you want to avoid the line, book appointment online an show up 15mins before appointment time so you can just walk in and most importantly check loadshedding times because they close during loadshedding times

What a great experience. I went there to register my car on my name. The security lady showed me what to do and where to go. I got my number. When it was my turn, I only got professional and friendly service from the gentleman behind the counter.I really appreciate their system of service because it works. No one was hostile or unfriendly.Thank you for the positive experience.

Very efficient! Went on a Thursday 10am, done within a hour. 10 people in que inside the building. Safe parking, Security shows you to the line inside to the left, at the counter they start with you form (take proof of address such as invoice/something from SARS), 3 people to test eyes, 2 cashiers that take cash & card.The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I didn't have a problem. You must just be patient and do what they ask. Queues and red tape you can't get away from. They were all polite and friendly. I was there for 2 hours and accepted it with understanding.
