I am sad to be leaving a bad review but I’m hoping that it will be helpful. I had an eyebrow wax and tint and eyelash tint.It is a few days before New Years and my regular salon is closed. Luckily Aurora skin and spa had availability for me.Firstly, the therapist was very, very rough around my eye area. The end of the cotton pad was scratching along my under eyes while she was rubbing quite hard, and she pulled at my under eye area a lot. My under-eye skin hurt quite a bit for a while afterwards, which I’ve never experienced after an appointment before.Additionally the therapist wasn’t able to appropriately remove the eyelash dye from my eyes. Most experienced therapists will use a bowl with water and wet cotton and gently remove it and most of the time none of the dye will get in your eye unless you’re unlucky. However this therapist attempted to remove the dye with a dry cotton pad and was practically pushing the dye right into my eyes no matter how tightly I shut my eyelids. Both of my eyes were burning and I ended up asking if she could please bring me a bowl of water to rinse the dye out. This was definitely the most painful eyelash experience I’ve had in years.Sometimes the process is messy but the results are worthwhile. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case for me. My eyebrows are completely uneven, the total wrong colour, and I have dye on my face and hands. The therapist asked me in the end if I was happy with the results and unfortunately it was too late to fix anything and so I just told her it was fine.I’m very sad about how this turned out. I’ve left the spa feeling quite ugly, and even worse that it’s right before New Years. The therapist I had was very kind and easy to interact with but I don’t believe she is experienced enough to be working with people’s faces, especially delicate eyes and under eye skin.

I booked a couple's massage that was on special. The staff were not very friendly and talked down to us. The massages were really below average and they tried to overcharge us - when I corrected the amount the woman was unapologetic and rude. Not really a great experience, would have scored 0 if possible.

Great spa place, value for money, massage was amazing, plus the oils they have for purchase is amazing. If ever a spa treatment is needed, Aurora is the place to go.

Lovely, serene environment with a good selection of treatments. The therapists gave good facials & I added a pedicure as extra treatment (R200). The massages were supposed to be relaxing, but felt a bit more like physio (lots of kneading of muscles). The back scrub was literally a 5 minute application & scrub. The Wikideal was valued @ R690 for 2 people, so was worth it. Anything more than that would be ludicrous

Zeronica was absolutely amazing, pressure was perfect and she was super sweet. Will definitely be back for her again.Calming and welcoming environment.

Really amazing service! Made me feel very comfortable and my skin is already experiencing great results!

I booked a couple's massage that was on special. The staff was condescending and uninterested im us. No beverage was offered, and we had to wait before being tended to. The massages was unpleasant, massueses also talked to each other during the massage. Also did not get the full treatment. Honestly this spa is probably best to avoid. Or at least be careful and proceed with caution. And dont be shy to speak up, dont be like me friends.

My treatment was scheduled to begin at 2 and end at 3:40. Our masseuses walked in at about 2:20 and ended on time at 3:40 . Of the hour and 20 minutes that we received, my masseuse walked out at least 5 times, wasting another 10-15 minutes. This left me wanting more, as I did not receive the 5 star treatment that I expected, but only probably an hour of treatment’s.
