Went there on 12 June 2023. It is such a beautiful and historical place. Such a pity that some individuals decided to remove the metal plaques. I found the garden very beautiful, and although not 100% maintained, it was an epic experience. There is an unofficial Khoisan Embassy" on the premises but I didn't bother to interact as they were strict on taking photos without consent and some of the untold stories were actually disturbing. We weren't allowed to enter the actual building

The union buildings are a staple visit for my family. The gardens are lovely and tranquil. A new addition is an educational protest would be great as a permanent feature. The garden are free to visit, wheelchair access is available on one side of the gardens only. Bring some cash for the trinket stalls!

Scenic, very well kept, manicured gardens. Safe and secured. Dominant Mandela statue overlooks and welcomes people to the Union Building

It's sad to see that the park is not properly maintained, puddles of water at some points, full of litter & dry patches where there should be lawn. Hardly any flowers

Unfortunately the entrance to go to the Union Buildings is closed on weekends. So I could not see them nearer. We went to the corner of Madiba Street to Stanza Bopape Street to see them a bit at least. I was told the two do e represent the Dutch/Boer and the English. The Union building were the largest buildings in South Africa by the time of their construction.
