Had high expectations but on arrival we found the place to be dirty so we didn’t bother to eat. But waitress was accommodating on arrival.

To be honest, we were hesitant to go in based on the exterior... but glad we chanced it! Staff were very welcoming and attentive. The pricing was like a throwback to 10 years ago, and the food was genuinely fresh, delicous and surprisigly delicately/thoughtfully seasoned. I had a hake and chips with fresh chillis on the side... the fish flaked in the mouth and the light batter was brilliantly seasoned. My gf had the creamy Mussels. Lovely homely/smalltown atmosphere filled with locals. Definitely make a turn if your in the area.

Absolutely loved it here. The atmosphere, the staff, the food. Everything was amazing. The chef even came to greet everyone once the kitchen closed. Felt like we were regulars the way we were treated. 10/10.

We booked a table in the non-smoking area, but our table was next to the open door to the smoking area. Other tables were full. Our order for drinks was taken without delay. Food arrived one hour 15 min after our arrival. Veg servings were large, being an alternative to chips.Parking was ample and free.Dogs were present in the restaurant.

What a great experience this was! The food was delicious, the portions were good, and the prices were decent. Clean place with a great evening atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Great friendly service. We ordered the Captain's Platter. The seafood was out of this world. Best ever! Please buy the cook a drink and tip the wait staff. They deserve it.

Depending on the chef on duty, food average or excellent. Good value for money. Don't be put off by the darkness inside. Worth a try.
