MTN Bayside has the most poor customer service and incompetent staff. I advice anyone not to go there and stay away from a guy called Machelle and his manager as well. They are so arrogant and unapologetic! Had to get excellent service and MTN V&A and got my phone on the same day with no excuses.

MTN BAYSIDE YOU DONT EVEN DESERVE A ONE STAR!The most INCOMPETENT-ARROGANT STAFF I have ever dealt with.On the 17th of September I visited the store to upgrade my contract and was informed there was no stock of the Samsung Z Fold phone I was interested in.The consultant took my details down and said they would call me but the phone should arrive by no later than the 20th of September / Tuesday.Wednesday came and went and still not call. I called MTN to follow up and was given the run around until I got through to the manageress who was very helpful but clearly the phone was not ordered as the consultant went on leave and nobody knew anything bout the order.I called MTN this morning 28th Sep. and was asked to call again after midday to confirm its arrival.. Once again I as the client had to call MTN to confirm if the phone had arrived - which was confirmed it had just after midday today. The manageress on duty confirm that I could collect the phone this afternoon.Upon my arrival I was informed by an arrogant consultant that I could not be assisted - no explanation at this stage.I walked out of the shop to cool down (by then I was at my wits end). I went back inside to confirm why they could not assist me and was informed that their system is offline and they are not able to receive the stock in?? Keeping in mind the stock arrived just before lunchtime.Come on MTN you knew I was coming through to collect the phone today why was this not actioned onto your system as soon as it arrived! Not once did the manager confirm your systems were offline and why confirm collection.No customer service whatsoever. One would think you would call your clients if you are not able to assist them or keep them in the loop regarding their order that was overdue!Pathetic!

I went to bayside to cancel my contract and Marcello was the consultant that helped me , he never cancelled the contract i went back again and he referred me to the call centre, the issue was never resolved 6 months later only for MTN to say i owe them money, he has the worst customer service and he should work with people if he does not like it .

Worst customer service ever! The person who spoke to us( i can'tsay assisted, there was no assistance), no one greets you as you enter, they have no people skills what so ever. She Can't speak properly or assist with a query, not sure why the shop is open then? She told me to call 135, i told you can't get hold of a call centre agent, she replied why not?!" if i knew i wouldn't of asked her for mtn assistance. pathetic..."

Tourist in Cape Town. I needed just simcard and data for my mifi router. Siyanda told me to bring proof of address and id. He sorted every thing for me. And for a good price I had very good working mifi router for a very good price. Top service.

For this store I would give zero start for awful service I got from one for the workers.This happened on Tuesday 8th December 2020 just after 2pm.I lost my phone, i needed a quote for a replacement as requested by the insurance company.I was aware that the phone I lost was discontinued so I needed an equivalent. The phone they wanted to quote me on was far cheaper than what I am covered for. So I had requested if they could contact any of their stores which might have the model that is closer to what i am covered for and send me a quote via email. Upon my request for the quote I was told :sir you are asking for too much"So I reprimanded the worker and asked him to explain what was too much for him.Subsequently the manager on duty was called by the worker in question. He the manger had to nerve to tell me to stop pointing fingers instead of presenting his apology for the nasty attitude shown to me by his colleague.I have been a MTN client for over 6 years and I still have two contract phones with MTN.I was very disappointed and so will never go back there or recommend this particular store to anyone."

Was advised to go elsewhere, still trying to understand why MTN could not assist me with an MTN problem. The staff member couldn't wait for me to exit the store. Anyway, PEP cell were able to help me . If I could rate ZERO stars , I surely would

Poor customer service and incompetent staff. Went in to transfer ownership of a contract, only to find out 2 months later that it has not been processed. Was assisted by Chinique and Anthony. Called the store and they said they will call me back within 10 minutes and I am still waiting for that call.
