Go there quite often. Beautiful and serene locations with abundant wildlife. 4 stars because the park is not being supported well enough by the park administration.

Spioenkop Nature Reserve
The roads are in bad condition. I would not recommend taking a drive because the road are over grown with lots of small thorn trees scratching your car.

Spioenkop Nature Reserve
I had a lovely experience at Spioenkop Nature Reserve. The dam is lovely for fishing. There are also wild game such as giraffe, kudu and wildebeest.Ablution facilities were also clean.The roads are not tarred and some parts can be quite tricky without a 4x4 vehicle but if you just going to the dam there is no need for a 4x4 vehicle.

Spioenkop Nature Reserve
One of the best camping experience we had in a long time. Stuff is great and very friendly. Toilets and shower areas is very clean will definitely recommend this camp site to everyone... see y'all soon.

Spioenkop Nature Reserve
Fantastic place for a wild getaway. Campsites are surrounded by wildebeest, zebra, impala, and all manor of wildlife. Ablutions are functional and clean, plenty hot water. Park roads are better suited to suv/bakkies

Spioenkop Nature Reserve
We went fishing for the day and caught bass, kurper, carp and barbel. Ablutions at day visitors area were clean an functional. Roads bad, mainly due to heavy rains. We also went game viewing and saw 7 varieties.

Spioenkop Nature Reserve
Short visit on 27 January 2022 to see the dam at full capacity and hopefully enjoy a view of the dam wall while overflowing.Sadly there did not seem to be access to the dam wall from the road as gates were locked.Visited the Spionkop Nature Reserve, with the hopes to gain access to a closer view of the dam wall but after speaking to staff at the gate, it sadly did not sound as if there were any hiking trails to view the Dam wall in all its glory.Nature Reserve is open daily from 6am to 7pm, and they allow day-visitors and campers.

Beware the road isn't labeled. It's a long off road up a mountain.Breathing taking, it's an adventure.When you start fearing you can't see anything keep driving.At the top of the gate entrance is R35pp and you given a map.The most breath taking views.Adventure Awaits!!!
