Almega Karavaan Park

This is an excellent, super clean and safe resort. My family and I Loved it here. The resort has a beautifully clean swimming pool and very large, yet almost level caravan stands. The private ablutions are super clean and tidy and very well laid out. There is plenty of beautiful bird life to be seen. Also plenty of game to be seen. The resort is owner run and managed and management are very strict when it comes to respecting nature and your fellow campers which we really appreciated.There are also electric scooters which can be hired for nature viewing. Find out pricing from the friendly staff. When we were there last time the scooter hire cost R150 per person.Also a nice touch is that twice day there are staff members who approach you selling wood, ice and ice cream.You may not bring your own wood but you can purchase nice and oven dried wood from the resort. I can highly recommend this place.

Beautiful place. Lots of bird life. Clean and well kept park. Riding the electric scooters is a must if you are up to it. The guide that takes you on the scooter ride in the veld, has knowledge of plants and animals and shares as you ride along

I must say for a camp site with a private ablution it's amazing.No other positive thing to say.Only 1 small pool.No shop on premises.Only animal I saw was Cows and some birds, no wild life (that I could see)The owner was extremely rude to me and my Folks.They won't allow you to burn your own wood.They forcing us to buy there wood.Sunday came and we forced to be out the resort by 10h00 (Could not even make a good breakfast, just woke up had some coffee and had to start packing up)There are much better resorts with much friendlier hosts in the area.

Beautiful place to relax. The best bathrooms I have experienced while camping. Nothing more than a cold water swimming pool. Nice for hiking and to see nature. A must to go on the e-bike ride on the farm. Stand sizes realy big.

Very peaceful camping area nice green grass with personal amblition for each stand very neat showers and clean toilets this is also being cleaned each day,braai area also being cleaned each morning together with dustbins,plentyfull of bird life to see and electric scooters can be hired @ R150 per person to drive in and around the camp sites. There is a small play area for kids and a swimmingpool to cool of other than that there is not a lot to do, they do have a small tuckshop that sells ice and ice cream. You may only purchase fire wood from the camp site @ R25 per bag.No Music is allowed and loadshedding does have an effect on the camp site.Overall this is a nice camp site if you are looking for peace and tranquillity.

Private ablutions, green grass on the stands and lots of shade. Children are safe there. Bring bicycles.

Very spacious camp sites. Cleanliness and neatness appreciated. Went on game drive with battery driven scooters. While there may not be game in abundance the trip was very nice and is recommended. The owner and his father made special arrangements for us to watch the All Black vs Springboks match.

A person can't assess a venue without going. If you go you need book. To book you need phone. What is the point of having a cell contact if you don't answer it?!I'm miffed at how many business people don't, have their phones with them or have the attitude of ahh

Beautiful place in serene setting. Well maintained grounds. Camp sites had private ablutions..Service was good as they come to each site offering purchases of wood & ice.
