A hidden gem at a very quiet petrol station.Do yourself a favour and go to Maharaj's, the owner is the nicest person you will meet, the staff are super friendly, and the food is top notch.

WOW stopped on the way at Maharaj's curries....Had the absolute best bunny chow there..The spices was perfect the presentation for a sitdown absulutly topnotch....I do a lot of travel this is gonna be a pitstop from now on....Griendly staff and real value for my buck...well done keep it up

Maharaj's Van Reenen Curries
The most amazing food stop on the N3 route. Delicious food and the best treatment from the owner and workers. There is also very little to no traffic at this stop, so no queues. Highly highly recommend Maharaj’s!

Maharaj's Van Reenen Curries
The best restaurant food I have ever had. For the first time in my life, the food served exceeded my expectation. A lovely menu filled with options for children and those not fond of hot stuff. Complimentary authentic Indian chuckneys served with your meal leaves you wanting more. A flavour explosion. Delightful, friendly and fast service. Great value for money and not overpriced which is refreshing. Definitely our new pit stop. Wish this place was a franchise.

Awesome food , best service and beautiful place!! One of the best Indian meals I have had. Tucked away on the N3 van reenen.Owners are hands on. Absolutely friendly. Just what we needed on that long journey.So much indian goodness to choose from. Sweets to Currys. They have it all

A little gem en-route from Jo'burg to Durban, lovingly managed by its owner, who takes care of all aspects of your visit there. Quaint restaurant, for sit-down, takeaway or even snacking. Regretted why I didn't find this 6 year-old establishment earlier. Food, service and reception could not have been better during my travel down to Durban. Loved the experience and will certainly make it a regular stop. Try it ...

Delicious food which is cooked with love, 1 of the best mutton bunnies I've ever had. It tasted and felt like home. The owner is by far 1 of the most sweetest and loving human beings, she welcomed us in and made us feel like we were 1 of her kids, this exceptional service and delicious food is what will bring us back time and time again. Thank you Maharaj's for the wonderful experience

Maharaj's Van Reenen Curries
My new must stop-over on the N3 route between JHB and DBN is Maharaj's Van Reenen. What a surprise to find such an eclectic, little SA Indian coffee shop with delicious food at the top of Van Reenan's pass. We tried out a veg and cheese toastie which contained a nicely spiced veg curry and oodles of melted cheese. The chicken Tikka samosa was also very tasty and we washed it down with hot masala tea. But the best part of the meal for me were the sensational fresh chips sprinkled with salt, pepper and vinegar. I love a good slap tjip and this was some of the best I've ever had!
