Just called to inquire and I was told they only rent out to businesses & it has to be more than one laptop. Need one PC for a business event but then I see conflicting reviews? Not sure, please provide clarity.

Absolutely disgusted in the service !!! I am a start-up and needed laptops, I received COMPAC laptops (yes compac) that needed to be plugged in to charge 100% of the or the laptop would shut down.I was charged around R600 per laptop, per month which worked out to around R3000 monthly and on top of this I had to pay a deposit of R10 000. Those laptops were in really bad shape however I needed it at the time so I had no choice but to take it. I only realized once I had paid and had my team start working on the laptops that it was no good, I box it up as I had gotten i5 laptops from a friend that helped me out as I am a start-up and totally forgot to take the laptops back to RENTWARE. I received an email on Friday 26.02.2021 wanting know if I will be continuing to use these laptops. I quickly replied NO and said I will be returning it. I then tried to get one of my team members to drop it off however he arrived slightly late and missed out on returning those COMPAC laptop on the day. I sent an email advising that he missed the closing times and I received a reply within minutes (even though they were supposedly closed on the Friday by the time my team member got there) saying I can return the laptops on Monday morning.The laptops were returned Morning and I was to fined. I only received R7 116 back from my deposit. If you are reading this I would strongly advise that you try and find another company instead of choosing these guys as they will rip you off after you paid them! I WILL NEVER USE RENTWARE AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECCOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!

I rented a laptop when mine suddenly crashed and was under warranty. On collection I paid R1000 deposit and for R390 for one week rental. I informed them that I was not sure how long I would wait for my replacement. The gentleman told me that I paid for a week and that if I have it longer than a week I would pay the difference of the monthly amount. So as I was explained I would either pay for a week rental or if longer it would be a month less the R390 already paid and that I could have my deposit paid back to me in cash or EFT. On returning the laptop 17/05/2022 the lady that assisted told me that the refund would only be via eft and should be done by close of business the following day 18/05/2022. So on 18/05/2022 after 15h00 I called to enquire as nothing has been received and I was also waiting for invoices to claim the money back. I was told that the refund still needs to be done. I requested my invoice and proof of payment to submit my claim. By 17h00 I only received my invoice and NO PROOF OF PAYMENT. NO PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE TO ME EITHER.website states laptop comes with windows 10, yet windows 10 wasn't activated on the one supplied to me. Billed R390x2 what a rip off
