Many years ago (more than 10) someone recommended Hau Lien Chinese Take- Aways. Once you’ve had theirs, the other other Chinese take outs don’t compare. They have the best sweet and sour sauce. I love their Dinner for 1 with Chicken Chow Mein. Been buying it for years. Substantial portions. Waiting time 45 min to an hour, order ahead of time. Totally worth the wait.

Absolutely AWESOME as usual. I've been abroad for 2 years, went to Hua Lien yesterday almost die and went to heaven. Still the same as when I was a 15 year old kid, I'm now 35 best Chinese ever.

Sien of the best quality Asian take out in the Tableview area. (I have kissed a few frogs)I order from this husband and wife culinary power couple frequently, but it dawned upon me that I have never actually expressed on public forum how much I appreciate their food.Simply put their food is made with love. It’s obvious why their tiny store has been operating for about 20 years? Not sure about the number.The food is always fresh, delicious and made with care. They are also on Mr Delivery!

By far, the best Chinese food in Cape Town that I’ve had. The chow mien and sweet and sour is the best. You will wait longer than the given time, it’s worth the wait. They’ve been around for years and it’s only gotten better.

Was specified a time to collect, waited additional 45m for order. Would of been fine if the food was not so average. Chefs are under so much pressure to get food out that the food quality was average. Only saving grace was that it is cheaper than other places around.

Ordered sweet and sour Thai, we were only given the fried meat no rice however the menu specifies that its served with steamed rice. We called to inform them this but still nothing was done, we were basically told that there's nothing wrong with the order we received.
