Really loves this place. All the little touches were nicely thought about from the bathroom products, decor and the coffee station. The fire place made the room so cozy. Really comfortable bed and pillows and great value for money. Will definitely recommend to others. Thanks for a nice stay.

Great Food. Love the rustic setting and historic past of the venue and area. Great hosts and have met lots of interesting people and made friends at this venue. Need to address a few minor issues that could be irritating to some guests

Beautiful room. So special with altered antique furniture.... absolutely lovely! All you need and more. Little fireplace in the room, which made for a warm and cosy stay. Friendly host and staff. Wonderful breakfast! Thank you very much!!

Absolutely wonderful. What a nice surprise to find such a place. The service and hospitality was excellent. The decor was fantastic. Definitely will recommend the place. Will stay there for longer if ever possible.

My daugter and I booked in there on Thursday. I though it was a charming stone cottage with a lot of character and a lot of history. The rooms and bedding was clean, so I can't complain in that department. However, the water was a major problem, battled to get enough hot water for a bath. Complained about it and Lizette was very helpful. However, water problem persisted until the next day when my husband and other children arrived and he found that the flow valve of the pump is not functioning. So from there taking a bath or filling up the toilet bowl, you run outside, open the outside tap and tap the valve to open. That for 5 people getting ready for a wedding is not fun, especially while it is raining. That is understandable trying to replace a part on a easter weekend is not easy. But on Friday night my children had a leaking roof above their beds, down the wall with water all over their room and floor. Near electrocution with water pouring down the hanging lightswitch. Water leaking through the ceiling in the main bedroom. Complain again and they came to fix the problems. But my problem is, if I book and pay for a 4 star accommodation and I experience all these problems, surely managment should not accept any payment for this. Yes, they gave me a discounted rate of R400 for the 3 day stay. But I am definately not very happy. I really expect better conditions for what you pay. I cannot complain about the staff or the manager as they were always friendly and very helpful. But, unfortunately my initial 5 star rating went rapidly down to a minus 5.

John Jack Inn is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. The room was very pleasant to stay in, lovely bathroom and living area with a super comfortable bed and pillows. The interior was very creative and had a lovely antique flair to it. The breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend and come again! Thank you John Jack Inn for a lovely stay!

Awesome place to stay! Amazing staff and the establishment is warm and inviting. Rooms are super comfortable and well equipped. Restaurant food is great!! Fantastic value for money. Will definitely go there again.
