Checkers Hyper Bay West

Checkers is quite a nice place to buy groceries. Only two things that annoyed me the most . We went there to get our favourite potato samosa. We bought 3 potato samosa. I was so excited to eat it. I bet you can imagine how I felt when I tasted one and found out that it was yesterday's samosa and they where sold to us at a normal price. We have to throw the other one away because it was not edible. It had this bitter taste that lingered. The second time was when I had to buy quite a fell thing( my stationery, my moms birthday gift and meat for a buy). After getting all the other stuff we decided to buy the meat last. When we got to one of the tills there was a cashier that looked like she was busy so we waited. We I called out to her asking if she was open whe reply and the most rude attitude. I've worked as a cashier before and that's not how you treat a customer no matter how tired you are. Everything happened in a flashed. I was taught you ask a custom if they wanted a bag and if not you offer a clear back especially if meat is involved. Long story show i ended up walking out of Checkers with meat in my hand. I was so fright by her attitude that I was scared to even ask for a bag.....

I am disappointedHow can a store this big not have leather shoe dye...Or has checkers stopped stocking them?

When I was here one of the cashier was so friendly and she made me happy in my moods.

Well stocked and conveniently placed. You will find everything here from fresh vegetables, fruits, clothing, shoes and electronics. They really do have almost everything under one roof

love the wide variety and Baywest is open later for those of us working later longer hours to quickly get shopping in the evenings.

Huge store with a great variety of products. Staff are friendly and approachable. Very clean and great layout

This shop is one of my Bay West favourites. They have a wide selection of everything one normally requires. Their merchandising of the shelves is always neat and tidy, with many shop assistants keeping tabs on this. Most shop assistants are very helpful however a few were badly selected as they have no idea of assistance or just plain pushing into a queue, this is very frustrating. The till assistants are very good. Please sort out the bad air conditioning smell. It is always present!!!

Clean and neat. All you need like groceries, baby food and accessories, health accessories, dogs, cats, birds, etc accessories and food as well as some technology goodies. Also garden tools and other accessories. Staff also very friendly and helpfull.

I think Checkers Baywest is a lovely shop with staff going out of there way to be friendly and helpful and ready to help customers. When items are not on the shelf they are quick to go to the back to check if they have stock. Keep up the good work
