Bushpilot Adventures

I got to know about Bushpilot Adventures in 2019 through word of mouth as I was pursuing a South African validation of my FAA Pilot License, the first step to being able to fly around the southern part of Africa exploring marvelous places. Bushpilot made the whole process easy and efficient, handling all the paperwork ahead of time, scheduling the knowledge test and the check-ride, and providing the necessary instruction to get me ready. After 1 day and a half, I had my validation done.I spent the rest of the week flying around South Africa and Botswana and started craving more.Recently, Bushpilot Adventures helped me and a group of friends plan a trip of a lifetime, flying an airplane through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and eSwatini.Besides providing a capable and well-maintained Cessna 206, they helped handle the complexity of national flying clearances and overflying permits, customs and immigration procedures, flight planning, and fuel stops. They also helped plan a memorable itinerary, providing terrific recommendations and organizing all the accommodation logistics.On the second day, our airplane was not starting. We worked over the phone to isolate the issue and discovered that the starter solenoid needed to be replaced. They flew in the replacement part, and soon after, we could take off again with minimal impact on our itinerary.During the whole trip, we could count on their competence and responsiveness to help solve logistical hiccups such as closed airports, late arrivals, and so on.A big shout out to Zelda, Dale, Andrew, and Markus for running such an outstanding outfitter that gifts wonderful memories to pilots from all over the world.Looking forward to the next trip!
