Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse
If you want a relaxing time this is the place. Beautiful mountain scenery, cabins on the lake. Sounds of birds. Service is exceptional. Everyone so welcoming. Food a must try with the wonderful chefs, delightful dinners and stories. Cabins are stylish and freshly cleaned. A must stay in the Drakensburg. A must is the massages with Butlhe. You will not get better anywhere else.

Beautiful place in a stunning location. One has the mountains behind to walk in with very well marked paths, offering stunning scenery and a birders paradise.Close by there is Highmoor and Kamberg nature reserves which offers lovely and easy walks. Highmoor you will see the sleeping giant, Giants Castle with the soring vultures and eagles.The hotel offers fantastic service, very comfortable rooms, the food is brilliant and staff very friendly.The only downside, the government need to fix the road from Rosetta where the dirt road starts, and the gravel road should be graded once in awhile. Other than that Cleopatra is wonderful place and you as the guest won't be disappointed. Suggest no less than 3 nights considering the offerings. Shane Bennitt Wildlandsafrica guide.

Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse
A very warm welcome and relaxing stay. Food is excellent, they have a well stocked wine cellar and the staff run a good bar. Everyone was very friendly and catered to our needs well. It's an old-fashioned and rustic setting which gives you a home-from-home feeling. The scenery is breath-taking. Will definitely go back.

Nice farmhouse, interesting old style rooms, very good food!Nice hikes around the property and also some further ones to really nice waterfalls.The road arriving there could be nicer :D But should get fixed soon, they said.

Very pictueque location the rooms were clean and comfortable. Great place to visit for hiking or to relax. The staff were all friendly and helpful and Brian was even took me for a walk around the hills. The food is excellent with a 5 course evening meal included in the price.

Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse
After a hectic travel over from the states and dealing with major jet lag a stay at the Cleopatra Farm House was a totally successful cure.We spent three wonderful days at the River Run cabin and enjoyed every minute. Our cabin was richly decorated and well stocked. The scenery is breath taking.We took in dinner at the main lodge twice, both times being treated to expertly planned, presented and cooked 4 course dinners that would’ve felt at home in any major metropolitan area found worldwide. Oh and the wine cellar is a connoisseurs delight. The lodge also had diverse offering of liquors. If you get the chance try the Gin & Tonic made with Blind Tiger brand gin. Simply superb.The combination of service, atmosphere, scenery was truly great. Thank Senzo, Thabiso and Brian for making our stay top notch.

The most beautiful serene quiet and peaceful location. There is a little dam with decks which you can sit on and enjoy a cup of tea. There is a really cool outside area where they make a fire and you can sit on camp chairs. The rooms are rustic chic, It's not the kind of luxury you expect when you see a place is rated 5 stars. The food was by no means worth booking into the venue. The food is great, but it's nothing overly out of the ordinary to impress our inner foodies. The chef has changed recently in the last 2 years.

Everything from start to finish was perfection. The staff, the decor, the food, the service, the ambiance. Simply loved the warm decor with roaring fireplaces. The history of the family that own the property. The decor in the rooms is like going back in time in the most wonderful way. Absolutely loved my stay!!!
