DON'T DO IT! YOU WILL HAVE ENDLESS HASSLES WITH YOUR TENNENTS TRYING TO REGISTER TO PAY FOR TOKENS... THEN YOU CALL THE CALL CENTRE AND THEY JUST HANG UP ON YOU CAUSE THEY JUST AS LOST.WE HAVE TO BOW REMOVE THIS JUNK FROM ALL OUT PROPERTIES

I have many tenants in Durban and have always used recharger. I couldn't find the recharger for my tenants in cape Town and opted for the metro prepaid. This was the biggest mistake as we have had endless problems since it was installed. I want a refund so I can change to a different prepaid. We will go to the CPA to solve this if I don't get a refund as well as compensation for paying the electrician twice to now having to change the meter.The tenants have tried calling the 24 hour service but no response and they are now frustrated.Let's see if there's any positive outcome from this review.

The call centre is suppose to be 24hours. Waited 15 minutes on a call before mu airtime was up and nobodh responds to the whatsapp! Worse service ever!!!

I am a property investor and have numerous meters. The white client keypad breaks after 12 months, and costs over R1000 to replace. This has happened on numerous occasions. Plus every month for over 12 months now, I have to keep asking them to send me the reports for my properties, and they say they will sort it out but to date they still haven't. I cant believe METRO doesn't have an online web portal so we can quickly check our own meters ourselves. I wish I had never gone with METRO. A bad choice and now I see there are some competitors. I would look to them first.

Worst customer service ever, i send messages throughtout the day to find out whats happening with my electricity as the property owner registered my prepaid meter but i still cant purchase electricity which i explained over whatsapp to the consultant and they sent me a registration form again. Very slow responses i am running out of the free units and i want to purchase as i will be sitting with no electricity at all but metros consultant dont care. If i could give them no stars i would do that

Disgusting service. Very difficult to communicate via phone or e mail. Slow responses. Meters & pads break and they have no stock. Tenants without water for up to 2 weeks art a time. I ask to speak to someone in authority or a manager but am not given contact details and they do not return calls. A terrible company. Avoid them at all costs.

Always an issue getting my water topped up. Don’t wait till your taps are completely dry, it could take hours before you receive your token. I’m always calling for my tokens, but they never answer the calls.

Today is Wednesday and the water meter stopped working on Friday. I paid the invoice on Saturday and was expecting that the technician should be fixing it on latest Monday. I called again and was informed that it should be fixed latest in a few days. It is unbelievable. My tenants are understandable more than furious. No shower, no toilet flushing for such long time. Choose your supplier carefully. I hope there are better suppliers out there.

Must admit that I have only ever received good service from Metroprepaid. Apart from an initial calibration problem which related to the meter in question being set to City rather than Eskom direct rates..... I have no complaints about the staff or for that matter the quality of services rendered todate.

Absolutely disgusting service ever. I've installed two prepaid electric meters to my property for my tenants yesterday. For the past 24 hours, they have spend R300 and left with 22 units left of 80 units. This is a complete rip off. Bad service and no help desk 24 hour" option. You guys must be ashamed of yourself. You are stealing electricity from the poor and middle class income groups !!!"
