Improved shopping experience, better service and stock holding than in the past.

Untrained staff at the deli counter don't understand English. Only ever one or two tills open, even when extremely busy. Meat of very low quality and often rotten. Expect to be harassed by car guards. No parking.

I wonder why they have specials on a Wednesday. All the specials I bought today is very old. The meat inside the burgers is blue. I mean can't the manager do his work or is his work just to stand in front and do nothing. I will let all the other Spars know what rotten food they selling to the customer

Don't buy anything that is not on special offer. Even if it is on special, make sure it can really be considered a special. Priced way above market in my experience. Usually the official Spar specials are genuine, but it appears not to be on the shelves, probably by intent from the owner or management. Rather go to Kilnerpark Superspar close by.Very long queues experienced by many customers, but still use the minimum cashiers.2022-09-06 Prices on the shelves are lower than one is charged at the till. Photos uploaded as proof. Specials are stuck to confuse you. Example 2 kg brown sugar for R39-99 is stuck below 2,5 kg white sugar which is actually priced R53-99 at the tills. Combination specials are also packed on the shelves in such a way that it will bite you at the tills. Combined special says any 3 items for R27-00, but 1 item is nowhere to be found and instead of smaller packs of asteroids, a bigger pack will be found in order to defraud and mislead one in that way. This is a dodgy Spar in my opinion.
