Meadow Lane Country Cottages - Underberg

I travel a lot, and stay at many places. Once in a while, I discover a hidden treasure...a place with spacious and comfortable accommodation, beautiful and serene environment, as well as super friendly personal service. Meadow Lane Cottages have al these attributes to make it a treasure. A place where I will return to with the family in tow.

I stayed at Meadow Lane Grace cottage from 12 -14 March 2021. Kids and Adults ABSOLUTELY enjoyed the place! Such good value for money! Great weather, soo tranquil , so safe, and what really was refreshing was the trust Lesley has in her guests with the 'honesty bar' at reception. :) I really appreciate that concept. We felt comfortable immediately and Lesley was so accommodating of our special requests. My favorite features were the dam, fishing, fireplace, feeding beautiful Rosie and friends, playing with the lovely doggies that visited us, and stargazing!! Kids loved the swings and trampoline. Simply CANNOT wait to return to this little piece of heaven ! :)

This place is nothing short of amazing. The gardens are so well kept I spent most of my time there barefoot soaking it all up. The rooms are super clean. Staff is super friendly. Overall just so wonderful to go decompress in such a peaceful, beautiful place. Highly recommended.

What an amazing weekend getaway. So peaceful and tranquil. It was a wonderful experience to sit on the deck and listen to nature and see the stars at night. The cottage is stunning and you feel right at home. My husband enjoyed the bass fishing while I enjoyed the scenery. The peacocks, peahens, ducks and fur babies adds to the experience. What a stunning set up. The grounds are so lush and green, the 3 dams are there for use by guests, a great little play area for kiddies. Fishing rods, games, DVDs and books for hire and you can buy wood, charcoal and firefighters too. The 5 guest cottages are well equipped and comfortable, not fancy, but more than adequate for a short or longer stay and there are 2 great restaurants within 2 kms if you don't feel like cooking.The owner Leslie is wonderfully hospitable and helpful. We can certainly recommend this place for couples and families

Spent a weekend here with a friend. What a lovely place. So well worth the price you pay. We stayed in Love cottage, beautifully decorated and so neat and has everything you need. The cottage was situated amongst the trees so you felt like you are within the woods and we were visited by the friendly resident peacocks which was a treat. This is a family orientated accommodation and I am already planning a trip here with my family as its perfect for kids. We took a trail along the river, which was serene and scenic. Lesley and Scott are lovely people and very helpful. We felt very much at home at Meadow Lane. I can see myself coming back here many times in the future with my family.

Hubby and i thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Meadow Lane. It was so peaceful and relaxing. To top it off, the accommodation was stunning, very well looked after and extremely clean. It was like home away from home. The weather turned out great and we even managed to catch some Bass at the dam. To the owners at Meadow Lane and the staff, keep up the great work. We will definitely be visiting your place again.

Our visit to Meadow Lane was more than we could have imagined!! The grounds are immaculate and so peaceful.Tall trees and flower gardens surround the beautiful dam which provides hours of pleasure luring the resident bass!Will be back for a long stay in the near future.

Wow! We had a great and unforgettable experience. Meadow Lane is a place well worth visiting. What a lovely place. We had the pleasure of visiting during May... Autumn/ winter - which is so beautiful with all the different colors of nature. Waking up in this tranquil setting is worth the trip from Durban. The accommodation is as advertised and what a pleasure to find attention to detail; like sharp knives and comfortable sized shower-heads and the most comfortable beds!! We will certainly be back, Thank you Lesley!
