I had an aweful experience in that Blackheath store yesterday. I bought anAngle grinder in that store on 26 September 2020. At the time when I bought it I then ask the salesman what guarantee comes with the purchase. He instead replied thst if anything goes wrong then I must just bring it back to the store. 3 Months ago It started smelling like something burning inside the grinder and little bit of smoke coming from it whilst using it. I then called the shop and they said I must bring at back and must bring proof of puchase with otherwise they cant assist me. I finally found the slip on Thursday past after digging through lots of papers and slips and receipts. Yesterday I went to the shop and I told the salesman at the door my problem and why I was there. I produced the slip and when he realised he was the salesman he just told me they cant help me cause it company policy that they only give 6 months guarantee and that its written at the back of the slip. I proceeded to tell him that I even asked him at the time of the purchase about the guarantee period however he just said that I should have read the back of the invoice. I didnt even know that there was anything written at the back of the invoice. And that its not his fault that I didnt read the back of the invoice. I later found out thst he was actually the salesman who sold me the Angle Grinder. I asked for the manager cause I have two issues know.Firstly... when I asked him about the guarantee policy why didnt he tell me the store policy or refer me to the back of the invoice cause at that stage I already bought the Angle Grinder.Secondly why didnt he reveal to me at the time that he was actually the salesman who sold me the item.As I went to speak to the manager he started to make remarks loudly about me not reading the terms and it now being 8 months since I bought the item. I told from where I was standing to keep quiet and not make remarks since I waiting to speak to the manager. The manager Jess arrived whilst me and the salesman was now having a small confrontatiom since he kept making remarks. I told him to keep quiet ad the manager without knowing or listening or even asking whats going on just told me that she is not going to listen or speak to me if I dont respect her staff and walked away. The staff other staff refused to tell me how to get hold of the bosses there and even refused to tell me the surname of the manager Jess. I realised that the salesman realised that he made a mistake by not telling me or refering me to the bach of the receipt regarding the store guarantee period ad just wanted to put blame on me and telling that everyone reads the back of the receipts. Anyway I feel that Im being robbed of R1000 and the salesman (Zibusiso W.) is dishonest and the manager as well or maybe she is just incompetent or doesnt care about customers. Really horrible experience

Unfortunately cash converters isn’t the ideal place to go sure you get fast cash but I wanted to sell a GARMIN watch as I just needed to get out of a tight situation. They said I can’t sell it from a slight mark on the screen? Rather list electronic things on the internet you’ll get more than what they offer, 50x better service. I’ll never step foot in this establishment ever again, won’t even recommend someone else.

Firstly I bought a juicer here... To only discover that it's leaking, you don't wanna see the mess it made. Secondly the only great customer service I've had was from the black staff! As for the other ones"I came to sell my valuables here and might I say how much yall couldn't be bothered how cherished those things were anyways... It won't matter how desperate I get next time

THE WORST store in the whole chain. The leadership at this store are seriously disturbed. They take no accountability for staff, security and should have their license removed from Head Office. Avoid at ALL costs!

Commented on a post on Facebook about broken stuff being sold and then being told by the manager that im no longer welcome in her store!! Lol its nice to ask for discounts and then badmouth them her words! More like nice to sell broken items at discounted prices so that you know it cant be returned!

I bought the Jabra Elite 75t headsets from your store yesterday. Only to find out that they are fake.*They are not linking with the Jabra app.*They are not consistent, they keep on disconnecting themselves.*There is a sync delay between the two earphonesWhy are you selling fakes as originals? And not tag them as generic?

Cash converters blackheath, I called ahead to see if baby items are bought, the lady did inform me that she is only a cashier but was quite sure they would. I asked one of the floor salesman to help me get my items from my vehicle, he came with me. Said I must show the buyers inside, he didn't bother helping me take my items inside. Apon arriving the buyer lady named Jabu, saw my items as she was walking around helping the customer in front of me, never said they don't buy. I got to take the items to the counter, she told me that they were not buying the items. So I explained about the cashier being sure, and she shouted at me, then she was trying to open an ice cream maker, instead of asking me to show her how to open it, she forced it open braking the clips. I got upset and she started bringing up the fact that I wanted to loan money against my laptop but I had not realized my son cut off plug. She insinuated I was trying to con the store. I don't appreciate being treated like that in front of other customers.

Horrific.Drove from Pretoria North because of a Facebook marketplace advertisement.The item was damaged and broken.When we pointed it out, we were lied to and that it must have happened recently. Entire store has a dirty unwelcoming feeling.

They greatly undervalue your items. Everything I wanted to sell is less than 12 months old. Barely used and valued at R24,000. These clowns offered me R4,200 as a joke. Rather sell privately.
