Brooklands : Berg Cottage

A beautiful location with lots to do! The house itself does need quite a bit of maintance however. Many doors, windows, taps and various other things do not work. Very friendly and helpful staff!

We had a lovely stay at the Brooklands. It is a great accommodation to stay there with friends. Beautiful area to watch the sunrise in the Jacuzzi and to relax for a weekend.Perfect to spend to hike in the Drakensberge. We would always come back again.

Great place with many hikes and amazing clean pools, would highly recommend going. The cottage is very accommodating with 4 bedrooms and many more double bunks, it also has a pool table, a TV, 2 dams and plenty of area to run around.

It was so special to be able to take friends from the UK and Johannesburg, who had never been to the Berg before, to Brooklands- this cottage allows for the optimal Berg experience, showcasing both the adventure and tranquility that the Drakensberg has to offer. The cottage was stocked with everything we wanted; from boardgames to wood for the fireplace. It was clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It is in the ideal place to go on walks- Ryan's guidance on the website was very useful, explaining the routes. It was incredible to be able to have fun canoeing on the dam and then walk up and stargaze at night lying in the hot jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was a highlight for us and is something not available at most other places. I highly recommend Brooklands and cannot wait to go back again soon!

An absolute gem of a place. The cottage feels so home like and cozy yet really spacious. My family and I loved our stay here and Ryan (the owner) was really friendly. Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a stunning getaway

Glorious place to get away and the views are magnificent. Location is perfect too for hiking and access to the mountains.

Great place to go with the family and extended family as there is enough space for all. The cottage has two bedrooms with on suites and upstairs there are another two bedrooms with on suites. There are two sets of bunk beds as well so there is more than enough space for all.Beautiful fire place to keep warm in the winter and a comfortable lounge area to watch some tv if you would like.There is a beautiful balcony with a two seater where you can look out and have morning rusks and coffee.There are some amazing walks and hikes as well for those people that love to get out and go.Very recommended and will be back again.

View from the deck is breathtaking.From the hot tub one has a perfect view of the rolling hills, at night looking up at the stars was a definite highlight that will not be forgotten.A fire heats up the house while you lounge in comfort on the couches.Rooms are cosy and beds comfortable.The walks around are beautiful, allowing you to be immersed in the scenic beauty of the Drakensberg.The pool table is immaculate and allows for hours of entertainment.This is a true Berg experience from start to finish.
