Great service knew exactly what I needed and had what I needed....

Brilliant service

These doors are of inferior quality with no after sales support and service. Upon installation, rust marks were pointed out and simply corrected by hand brush by their 3rd party installer. Two years later, severe rust appears, entire door paint badly faded (not in direct sun) and upon contacting the same person that did the original transaction, shrugged his shoulders and walked away. The integrity and commitment they display from day one says it all and therefore don’t deserve customer loyalty and support.

DIGIDOOR - CLEARLY NOT INTERESTED IN AFTER SALES SERVICEMy Digidoor III garage door motor packed up. This is the second Digidoor motor to pack up since my door was installed.I phoned Alwie, who was the one who supplied and installed my Digidoor III motor 4 years ago and has serviced it several times since.I had tried Alwie on several occasions but he did not answer and there is no possibility to leave a voice message. Nevertheless on 12 January, I sent Alwie another SMS text asking him to phone me.I am still waiting for the call.I phoned Hydro Doors in Port Elizabeth who I thought were the agents for Digidoor in Port Elizabeth. However, Hydro Doors do not service Digidoor products. Apart from Alwie, they gave me the number for Dave Jacobs, another one of their service contractors.I phoned and spoke to Dave Jacobs on 18 January.The following day a technician came to my house.He confirmed that the PC board had to be replaced but told me that there were no more spares for Digidoor III motors.I told him that I was happy to replace the motor. He told me that the new motors work at the top and not with a shaft [like the Digidoor III] and that the garage door would more than likely, have to be replaced.I told him to quote for whatever was necessary to get it sorted out.I am still waiting for the quote.On Monday 25 January, I phoned another Port Elizabeth garage door supplier and installer. The following day, I had a quote from Hi-Tech for a new door and motor, which I accepted.The new door was fitted this morning.I am glad to have parted ways with Digidoor motors.I find them very unreliable and unreasonable that they do not have spare parts for a 4 year old motor.It seems to me that Digidoor are on the way out which explains the attitude towards after sales service. I just wish that I was told this when I phoned Hydro Doors 3 weeks ago.I wouldn't have wasted so much time.
