Kameelboomkoelte Guest House Askham

This was our 3rd time to stay over at Kameelboomkoelte and definitely not the last. The beautiful rooms are clean, fresh and modern. No better place to relax in the Kalahari! Thank you Nina for always making us feel welcome!

I stayed over at Kameelboomkoelte recently both on my way to and from the Kgalagadi. The friendly contact through Nina and the warm welcome and assistance at the venue from Rodney was top notch.The units are well appointed, clean and the spacious facilities well suited as a touring stop-over or as a base from which to explore the region. Even small things like external power for vehicle fridges and the provision of a UV torch to spot scorpions with at night have been given attention.Well worth a visit too, is the fledging Solid Earth meerkat rehabilitation facility run by Alma-Celeste right over the road.

What an amazing experience! Absolutely stunning accommodation and host! Only a pity that we are only staying for one night, will most definitely come back for a longer stay. Would recommend it to anyone! A real gem!

Nina and her sister, Kieka, are an amazing team. They make you feel so welcome from the first contact.I can honestly say that Kameelboomkoelte is truly an oasis in the desert!!There is nothing that was not planned properly and well thought through.From the spacious parking for SUV’s and trailers to the ample electric outlets exactly where you need them.The shower head and pressure is a blessing!!Thank you for true Kalahari hospitality.Stephan, Mercia and Lumari van Zyl.

What an great experience. Great hospitality seeing your name om the board to welcome you in was a conformation that you have arrived. Braai facilities the pool 15m from your room is a blessing.

Their generator took care of electricity efficiently and fairly quietly while loadshedding was on.

We stayed over here on our way to the Kgalagadi.All the bookings were handled by the owner Nina, who gave us so many tips about the trip there and the various options for meals, other accommodation for our return trip, etc.On our arrival we were welcomed by Rodney, who was extremely friendly and helpful.The rooms were elegantly furnished with everything and more for self catering. The drive through car porches have very high roofs, catering for campers and caravans to be parked, with outside power points to keep the batteries charged and fridges running. The drive through also make maneuvering extremely simple.We can highly recommend a stay over in this quant little town.

A wonderful, warm experience. Amazing facilities and people. After a day in the Kalahari it was great to relax at a braai and swimming pool. The houses are wellmaintained, clean and functional.We would definitely visit again.
