Historic, luxury farm stayWe were warmly welcomed by Kirsten. She was an outstanding hostess, and took care of us like gold. Set on a historical Karoo farm, this heritage manor house was built during the ostrich feather boom. It boasts immaculate details in its stained windows, wooden panelling, bay windows, fireplaces, tiling, moulds and other decorative details. Our double room was immaculate and was equipped with everything needed to make our stay comfortable – quality linen and towels, tea & coffee, fresh flowers and fragrant amenities. We were reluctant to leave.

Incredible Manor house on a working farm in the beautiful Karoo! Owners are super friendly and helpful! The house transports one back in time and the stay is very comfortable!Lovely swimming pool to cool down in the summer heat and plenty of beautifully tiled fireplaces inside for cozy winter evenings.Highly recommended!!

Wheatlands is a place of where i go more than a few times. Quiet serenty amongst long history of family. The homestead is a museum of literature and past experiences. The food is home cooked and sublime. As a dog and animal lover, the sounds of sheep and goats are a pleasure. Esp. When babies are en mass.LWAYS A DELIGHTFUL stay. Thank you for the stay xx back again....

This is a fantastic spot! Beautiful accommodation and the friendliest people. Lovely veld around here with a diversity of interesting Karoo plants and animals - and a pool for the hot days.

Wheatlands is a very special place. The house is amazing. To have a building like that in the beauty of the Karoo is just out of this world. We all really enjoyed the sundowner spot, slept like logs and woke to glorious sunrise. Thank you very much.

The most gorgeous Karoo farm house with so much elegance and old school charm.We had the most amazing weekend with a house full of friends and all our kiddies running around wild and free.The location is great to enjoy farm life and we managed to fit in a great cricket match against the local cricket club too.The wheatlands family are the most wonderful hosts, we felt like we were old friends that they were welcoming home. It has already been decided that this weekend away at wheatlands will be an annual getaway for us.We cannot wait to make more amazing memories at Wheatlands.Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
