Tony Tavener is as old school as they come. A true professional when it comes to repairing film cameras. I first had the pleasure of his acquaintance some 20 years ago when he sorted out my dead Nikon F3 for me. The camera went on to give me a further 10 years of uninterrupted excellent service before it was stolen. After all these years, I perchance made contact with Tony again and was very pleased to hear that he is still very much active in repairing old film cameras. I for one can highly recommend him!

Been bringing my cameras to Tony for years. First when I stayed in JHB and even now, living in Cape Town. Firstly, you gotta know he doesn't touch digital. If you take in a film camera however, then he is quite simply the best, most knowledgeable, technical expert in the country. He is a straight-talking man.Just off the top-of-my-head; he's serviced my Konica C35 FD, Konica Auto S3, Yashica 35 electro CCN, Olympus 35 SP, Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AF-D. He also did light seals on one of my cameras to perfection, but I can't recall which model. I'm also certain he's done some of my other cameras, possibly my Mamiya RB67, but I only want to present facts here. Highly recommended.
