Seeff Durbanville

I had a terrible experience with Seeff Durbanville. They rented out my property for 2 years without any issues and then the estate agent who were assigned to me, resigned and Daniela and Allison was reassigned to my property. I received absolutely no communication from them whatsoever. After a while I realised that rent hasn't been paid into my account for 4 months and after contacting Daniela, I received a statement showing that my tenant is more than R20 000 in debt with rent. After a lot of issues, the tenant moved out 2 and a half months later. Daniela assured me that she would get their lawyers involved and that the tenant would be liable for the lawyers fees as the damage deposit did not cover the outstanding rent. After another 4 months I followed up with Daniela to find out if the matter has reached any conclusion only to find out that the file was never submitted to the lawyers and that I am responsible for the legal fees involved. Why did I pay a monthly commission fee to Seeff to assist me with the rental if this is what happens? I am very frustrated by this as it could have been avoided if Daniela and Allison were competent in their job.

Don't know if Megan is from this branch but she was magnificent in dealing with the sale of of our house. We initially had a sole mandate with Alexandre Swart Property. Megan sold the house and only got 20% of the commission while doing all the work. She was much more active than Alexander Swart apart from taking photo's. Alexander Swart waited until I was away to sign a contract with my wife (thinking everything is above board as the agent told her I already went through it). Should have gone with Seeff from the start.
