Amazingly quiet and organized. Haven't been there for a long while. Aisles clearly marked and neatly packed. Prices great as always. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Honestly had a bad experience filling up a gas bottle, the consultant left the inlet open and then insisted that the bottle was not leaking. Due to this incident I have to get a new gas bottle. Completely unacceptable service in my opinion. The level of negligence is unbelievable.

Large, spacious, and clean store that supplies almost anything you need for house and home. The attendants are all well aware of the general layout, and then there are specialists in each department.To their credit, they have made a huge investment in solar energy so that they are not much affected by load shedding, except where load shedding affect links with banking services outside control.There is ample covered parking within close proximity to store entrance and exit. Security both in-store and out is excellent.Having said all that, the cherry on top is their pricing is tops, and the chances of finding what you buy cheaper elsewhere are very slim.

Have receive an online order with items missing. Phoned the driver, he claims that he gave me what he got. Cant get through to The Makro call centre, I get through the automated answering service menu and then the call hangs up. Was holding for over 10 minutes for the online shopping department in this store with no answer. Unacceptable and pathetic serviceUPDATE: I have since received the missing items. The second delivery did not go so well and almost had an item missing on it as well as it fell loose in the delivery car. I am happy Makro resolved the matter, review stands as the service overall is just not up to standard

I HAVE PURCHASED A SPECIAL ORDER FROM THE SPORT & OUTDOOR DEPARTMENT IN MARCH. TO DATE I HAD NO CONTACT FROM THE STORE NIETHER DID I GET ANY JOY AFTER MAKING SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO THE STORE.I AM REALLY DISSATISFIED WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.THEIR STAFF REALLY NEED TO BE EDUCATED HOW TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

Garbage place. Waited 20 min for help with a ups system and no one was willing to help. Lots of staff standing around doing nothing. Walked out. Will rather spend my money at Builders

Purchased stationary for my child early this year on the 2nd of Jan through an online order. Most of the stationary Purchased is from makro strudensvalley.I could see that the order was not going to be available before the school opens. I made a call on the 9th and was promised that wumdrop delivery service will be used so that the order can arrive the following day if not then cancellation will follow.The order was not delivered and I asked for cancelation. Till thin day I have not received my refund of over a thousand. I purchased out of my pocket the stationary at takealot.I have been making calls almost everyday from jan to Feb and sending emails. I always receive one response The matter has been escalatedand sorry for the inconvenience caused".I have spent alot on airtime and don't even know what to do or say at the moment."
