The Lategansvlei gravel road not so nice after about 30km, I would recommend the road turning off from Swartberg pass at Kobus se gat restaurant,this will give you about 10km gravel road and excellent condition. The lodge itself a gem in the karoo surrounded by beautiful mountains and a strong flowing stream with well kept lawns joining the stream, bushbucks aplenty in the early evening on the lawn. Decor in the rooms of high taste with nice stoop looking over the lawns and the welcome pool. Breakfast was very tasty and well presented in the dining area. Staff was very friendly, so in all a lodge to be recommended.

Paula and the team at Wildehondekloof go out of their way to ensure that each guest has the very best experience. Luxury surrounded by the beauty of the Swartberg mountains, excellent food and a magnificent sundowner game drive make this a place you just want to stay longer.

What an amazing place! Away from civilization but with excellent service and great game viewing (not the big five, however).Driving to the resort is a treat as you pass the Kango Caves and head off along the Swartberg Mountains. It's possible to see giraffes on the neighboring property.The bedrooms are elegant, the bed comfortable and the food excellent, although from a limited menu. The game drives are a highlight, one in the morning and one in the evening.All in all, a great place to stay for a few nights!

Serene and tranquil setting with natural beauty and close to nature. Friendly staff where the owners take a personal interest in you. Food is organic and healthy where they offer gorgeous hikes and cycling into the mountain ⛰️ ranges. You hear the peaceful flow of the river from your room and some of the wild game will wander into the grounds. They offer health retreats with Pilates and nutritionist experts. A true wonderful experience

Quiet breakaway with amazing staff and a very homily atmosphere.

Very quiet tranquil atmosphere, with lovely walks on the property. Extremely welcoming staff and great service. Nothing too much trouble for them. Afternoon drive with Analize and Christiaan, exchanging bush stories, was enjoyable with beautiful scenery. The presentation of the meals was something special.

We had a wonderful, peaceful weekend in the most tranquil of settings. The hospitality was exceptional! A very special staff and a special mention to Marelize and Andre who how out of their way to make you feel at home.

We recently stayed here and were the only guests - which while nice during COVID - is a shame as this place was meant to entertain. The staff bent over backwards to meet our every need. Rooms were immaculate, and the food and service were both outstanding. The game driver was knowledgeable and gave a great tour of the grounds. I will cherish the memory of having a quiet drink on the patio while the Nyala graze no more than a few meters away.
