Absolutely stunning experience! Had the best fish and prawn curry and nice starters. Decor is very stylish, Stuff - really attentive and the bonus is Molly, a super cuddly cat. Loved it so much I came back the very next day!

Beautiful restaurant. Tastefully decorated. Menu has something for everyone. Prices are as expected on the high side. I had the ribeye steak. With chips. What a disappointment. Sadly the owners have opted for the constituted potatoes chips. The cheapest horrible potato chips on the market. Very very disappointed. I include pictures of the chips. On the positive side the service was top notch. Avoid the coffee, pure dishwater. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Fantastic location with incredible views over the valley. The service was very friendly, but the food wasn't really up to par. It was well presented but it didn't taste as good as it should. The chicken livers were served in a sauce and tasted like stew. The pork bon bon was just a normal meatball. The kudo loin was supposed to be medium rare but was served medium and was a bit dry. The Indian style potato overpowered the taste of the steak. The chocolate desserts were fine.

Amazing location and food to match. We had Chicken Liver, Calamari and Springbok sausage to start - all were wonderful. Main courses of chicken schnitzel, chicken balatine and baby cabbage with cauliflower were also fantastic. Had no room for dessert as the portions were a healthy size too.Lovely service, manager was very welcoming and entertaining, and the staff sang for another guests birthday, which sounded amazing. It wasn't our table but would be a fantastic place to celebrate it. Hope to revisit.

Emily Moon has been one of the best restaurant I've visited in South Africa. Similar to what others bave mentioned, the bread was really excellent and we asked for seconds. 3 of us shared 3 starters, 2 mains and a dessert and we were stuffed! Food was generally of good quality, highlights was the calamari and the dessert. Cocktails were a bit pricey. We paid R95 for corkage.

We ate here when we visited Plett on the recommendation of friends. Probably one of the most disappointing dining experiences. Really found the food to be below average. Our friends raved about their dining in Plett. Will not be going back to this restaurant on any of our future visits to Plett.

An incredibly beautiful venue with vividly unique decorThe staff are delightfull, and overall I had a great time hereThe starter bread was so damn greatThe twist on an old fashioned and margarita cocktails were very well balanced and indulgentThe food how ever missed the mark but only by the slightestStarting with the crispy calamari n spiced pulled pork bon bonsThere's meant to be caper mayo with the calamari but I tried to find or taste capers, it could of been a watered down chilli mayo, still passable but lacked the seasoning the calamari needed, overall not interestingThe pulled pork was dry and the chutney its served with needed a little bit more vinegar to cut the sweetness and compliment the salsa betterThe lamb rack was a bit disheartingWhilst cooked exquisitely, the sauce was pretty basic n mostly salty and near burnt sweetness flavoursThe plating was well placed but not visually tied together, just items on a plate that could of been hand placed from a buffetBut let me be absolutely clear, I enjoyed my time here, but give the location, the 4 star hotel, the price and quality of drinks, I expected far more

Amazing dinner location, great ambience, outstanding food. Had the best dinner on our whole trip though South Africa (and we had some great dinners previously). Would definitely recommend to come here, but don’t forget to reserve your table.

With great expectations comes a great disappointment. We were looking forward for this stay so much and upon arrival we’re very pleased by what we saw - the location and the facilities are amazing, the room was super welcoming and equipped, but from that moment on, it was all downhill. To start, it appears that we had a bat setting on our cabin roof, when complaining about it keeping us up at night, upon checking out, we were asked if we told “the guy at breakfast” (the manager) about it and when we said “no”, they said that he should really know about it, because other people will complain (no apologies whatsoever). The dinner experience was another downlight - when the waiter came to our table, no greetings or words at all, just stood there looking at us and waiting for us to order.During the meal she didn’t come and check on us, and mostly ignored our table. When we finished our mains, nobody came to our table for 15 minutes. At one point I have asked another waiter for a dessert menu and he brought it right away, just never came back. After 20 additional minutes, we have given up and decided to ask for the bill. I asked it from the waiter (who brought the dessert menu) and made my point about waiting for too long, and he went to call the manager, who came to our table and just said: “so you want the bill”?She rushed back and called our original waiter who came to us quite fast and just dropped the bill on the table. There was no room for signature (as we were staying at the hotel, but our room number was on the bill), we filled the details and left.To my surprise, our waiter chased after me, saying “signature”. I replied that there was no room for it and she just said “wherever”.This morning, we had a similar experience at breakfast - they don’t really offer coffee but filtered and you need to ask for it, not offering juice. When we finally asked for juice we got the smallest glass. The waitrons seems annoyed by us asking for stuff and not really happy to serve.Honestly, this is the worst service I experienced in a 2 week trip to South Africa and one of the worst I saw in the world. I don’t think it’s an isolated case, as it was really a trend. The owner should really work on training, but maybe he doesn’t care much as ice it’s so packed anyway.Putting the service aside, the food was extremely average, and with these price tags, it’s really a shame. We had the rib eye steak which was nicely cooked and in the right level, but who serves a cut steak over the actual fries and not next to it?!? The fries were not crispy to begin with, so maybe the whole setup was just wrong. The sweet potato and fennel gnocchi were served as huge pieces that were really ridiculous and miss out the whole point about gnocchi. The cocktails were not great as well and the wine selection quite limited by the glass and better bottles are only offered by the bottle. At breakfast the croissants were not great, and our omelettes were quite oily and serves so fast as if we are rushed to leave.
