Maroelani Private Nature Reserve

We had a wonderful time there. Rooms were so comfortable and adorable, food was great, relaxing chill atmosphere in all the shared spaces. Lots of great animals, and driving around in an open top vehicle is great all day long but especially around sunset. I spent 5 days there and tell people about all the time

We visited Maroelani for our Honeymoon.What an amazing, relaxing, out of this world experience.Their food is AMAZING, and I can't even begin to descrive their service.The love and energy that Francis ( the owner) put into all the romantic dinners, picnics, game drives and our amazing room was incredibly special.You can see that all the staff are hand picked and well trained, they start to feel like your family by the end of the visit.Would HIGHLY recommend them for any type of ocation . We will definitely be going there again soon !! ❤️

What a breathtaking experience at Maroelani.My husband and I got the opportunity to spend our “long overdue” honeymoon in the Bush Villa.The service we received was the absolute best. Francis with the warm welcome after every game drive. Our ranger Cillié and my husband were like 2 pea’s in a pod, he definitely made our game drives one for the books and how can we not forget about the staff and chef’s.We will definitely return to Maroelani as this was our first ever safari experience that made us fall in love with life all over again.

The lodge is beautifully designed and the hospitality was phenomenal. Francis was a super friendly host and the staff were amazing. Chef Sister made the most incredible and delicious meals and Alfred took care of our every need with a smile and he always went above and beyond to make our stay special. Louie was fantastic with the game drives and showed us such amazing wildlife and taught us so much about nature. We got to see the milky way on one of our drives and spent our free time relaxing by the stunning pool area. While at the pool, we also spotted a herd of giraffes drinking water from the dam across. The entire experience of our stay was truly exceptional. Thank you Francis and team for a wonderful holiday.

What a gem!!! The staff walked the extra mile to make our stay special and memorable! The views are breathtaking and the treehouses and other facilities provide everything you need to relax and take a break from the ratrace of the city.The safari's and picnic made our visit even more special! I felt like a queen! Just LOVED the hot tub and the outdoor shower!

Such an amazing experience, everything from checking in, Alphod made us feel really special. The staff is friendly, the owner Francis is soo involved and soo friendly to ensure a wonderful stay which is something we appreciated. The food, was absolutely amazing. The cake for my birthday was such a heart warming surprise.Our favorite has to be the game drive that ended with a romantic picnic in the bush. Can't wait to visit again. Check in was a breeze, with a personal welcoming at reception from Alphod. The place is well priced and set in the most tranquil setting. Some of the highlights were personal attraction due to small group, the attentiveness of the hosts and going the extra mile to cater to guests needs. They try to make the stay super comfortable and a bonus point for the in room spa. On a clear night one can lie in the hammock and star gaze the clear skies, we could see the milky-way so clearly. If you want a relaxed atmosphere the place is definitely worth a visit. It is a beautiful hide out in the bush. Loved it.

Luxurious bush getaway. You are greeted with friendly and helpful staff upon your arrival at the nature reserve. After your welcome drink and check in you are taken to your private bush suite that has the most magical views of the nature surrounding the area. There is lots to do from morning/evening game drives with professional guides to relaxing at the pool close to the watering hole where all kinds of animals come to have a sip of the sweet bushveld water. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure. Thank you Maroelani for the best bush trip ever and also for helping me plan our engagement. We can't wait to spend our honeymoon with you in April.

Great staff, the owner is such an amazing person too and I am still drooling at the thought of their food! There is so much to do :) the place is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. Definitely am recommending it. Can’t wait to come back already :) Renolda and Nkateko
